To be voting on a political ad was retarded. More pressing issues for sure. I can't believe that even made it in the building let alone a vote?! Why don't they just censer every ad, news broadcast, radio, books close down the Library's and shut down the Internet too? Burn books like the Nazi's. Don't you think moveon.org had lawyers look into the constitutionality of that ad before they posted it? Wake up you sheep out there!

No, our Senate should be doing the job it is supposed to be doing - representing the people from their district. Those people want answers to things like health care, social security & retirement pensions, safe schools for their kids & what to do about global warming..
Moveon.org was within their constitutional rights in placing the ad. I see a lot of ads everyday that I don't like, but I'm not going to let any of them ruin my life.

Its called freedom of speech. Regardless of whether you like it or not, any action taken against someone for expressing their opinion, no matter how unpopular, is a violation of the Constitution.
Like it, hate it, don't care about it, but the one thing that you have to accept is they have the right to say it. Just as you have the right to say what you feel about it. Pass a law to condemn a political ad is one step closer to a Nazi like state.
Where getting there fast. Who knew that Hitler's dream would be a reality in our time.

Personally, I think it's bad for for the federal govt to take a direct stance on saying they agree or disagree with a particular political statement made be any one group.
Smacks of wanting to censor them -- which would be a constitutional violation if the resolution was not non-binding.
But your point about their wasting time is also well taken.

Especially since there is a war going on. Attacking our military for doing their job using a known Communist propaganda newspaper, should be grounds for imprisonment.
Absolutely, the Senate should be sending the message loud and clear that they support the military and its leadership. Not calling them liars, like Hillary Rodham Clinton did.

moveon.org's ads should be condemned verbally, not legislatively.

What Move On did was treason. Each of those 24 who did not support this needs to be arrested and thrown in jail.
