If you didn't raise such a stink, Iranian Prez would have fallen even lower in the polls in his own country.

Maybe Bush wants him to get re-elected, so he will have a reason to invade another country.

soo easy to manipulate.

Anybody know when the next Iranian Prez election is?
If its befor bush leaves office, you can actually use it as the invasion date.

Interesting news story and trenchant analysis.
Time will tell if this unfolds as you predict.

One thing is certain, anyone who uses the expression, "Liberal media" doesn't know what "liberal" means. The media is primarily controlled by only five corporations, all with very conservative political connections and bias.

The insinuated "black label" of liberalism is itself a conservative propaganda trick. Only blind idiots parrot that expression.

Whether your insight is correct or not, the reaction it provokes proves there are plenty of reactionary fools left that are indeed easy to con.

Maybe that's why they call themselves CONservatives!
They certainly are not conserving our Constitution or the environment.

I agree that Americans are easily manipulated...look at the Bush supporters! The Iranian President is low in the polls in Iran, as Bush is here. Still, since they refused him access to the 9/11 site, his victory was not complete, even with his invite to Columbia Univ. He's taking a bigger chance, security-wise, than the students are and I think they are anxious to see the enemy up close and personal. I'm in favor of letting him have his say to a crowd of American Patriots! If he has the nerve, they have the lectern.

If you have ever analyzed public opinion in relation to television news networks such as CNN, you will see that the majority of the American public is really that easy to manipulate.

Of course you do see that it's the liberals being played. You are the fool. They are not being played, they are just showing how they really feel about this country. They hate it to the core and anyone who would defend it.

Yes -- Ahmadinejad was playing to the crowd (at home) and trying to provoke an emotional reaction (here).

It was a publicity stunt -- and it worked perfectly.
