No, you don't. Although it helps.

Depending on your MOS, you may learn to drive in AIT (i.e. Truck Driver). But most likely you will learn to drive when you arrive at your first duty station.

I have had several of my Soldiers arrive having never driven before. I've taught them how to drive in our HMMWVs (Hummers) and in my own car. Once you've learned to drive a HMMWV in Korea, driving a regular sedan is a piece of cake!

No. I couldn't drive when I enlisted. Actually, my father couldn't drive when he graduated form the Naval Academy, either.
