If it has an expiration date, cash it before the date. This is something to keep the bookkeeping more efficient. Your company may, or may not issue a new check. I wish I could afford to wait 90 days to cash a check.

It sounds far fetched that a check would expire by the time it reached you unless the checks have a very limited expiration time limit printed on the check, or you did not keep them advised of your current address and there was significant lag between the dates they issued and mailed the check. When did you receive the check that was reissued 8/29/08 and why do you wait about a year each time before following up? Unless there is something on the check that says differently, a check should be good for 6 months.

if it says that it expires after 90 days then you better cash it before deadline. I can't understand why a company would put an expiry date on employees paycheques though, most paycheques have the usual statutory one year.
