A friend and I went to an all you can eat restuarant to have dinner. He can be a little picky about his surroundings. He does not like to eat beside families with small children and he does not like eating near loud teenagers. (I can somewhat understand). When we sat to eat we moved from one table near small children (ages 1 and three) to another table.

A family sat beside us with a "mentally challenged" daughter. She looked like she was 10 years old and my friend wanted to move again b/c he said looking at her made his stomach turn. At this point, I drew the line. I told him that his behavior was "snooty," childish, cruel and unnecessary. He was angry at me b/c he said that I was being rude for not respecting his wishes and I was trying be controlling. To make along story short, we ended up moving b/c the argument became a little heated and the family was beginning to notice.

QUESTION FOR YOU
Was I wrong for taking up for the family instead of moving right away!

I live in Las Vegas and when listening to the old timers who lived here the longest all agree on the same thing:

The place was sure better when the mob ran things.

They complain about how the crime went up through the roof, how bad things are and everything in general since the corporations and US goverment took over.

Isn't interesting to hear that the Mafia actually was able to run a city goverment better then our actual goverment? Isn't rather sad?

the undocumented who are trying to work , do not get any taxes back and are the result of bad policies created by NAFTA ???

or

the so many lose fugitives which should be reporting themselves to the police and nobody knows where they at which include child molesters and all kind of #$@#$@%$ which should not even be in the streets ???

note : please include wanted undocumented who also have crimes which ought to put them in prison not back to thieir countries .

note 2 : do not include in the second undocumented whose are only guilty of the felony of being here with out papers <<< not violent crime .

.... i have noticed that many who say to oppose the undocumented claim they understand a huge part of the problems is NAFTA however i have not seen any taking resposability for that , as if we could make whatever we want in other countries then run away and being ok with that . their only solution seems to be making criminals out of those which we created , sad no ???

Will the fact that I've never even held a gun before be a huge problem?

The marching looks pretty complicated, is it hard to get a hold of?

Are the drill sergeants as big of d*cks as they are made out to be, I don't know if I can take somebody screaming in my face.

Is it true that you can join with a buddy and be guaranteed to serve basic with them?

I have been dating this army officer before he left for Iraq. He told me he was getting his divorce done and I trusted him.

After I did everything to support his deployment for 5 months, including suffering a miscarriage (of his kid) by myself, $500 a month on care packages/phone cards and helping his father to get through this etc. he told me he never got the divorce done, and he had to work on his marriage again as his wife threatened him. I don't even know what is truth what is lie anymore.

I am so depressed now. It's so not fair to me, what should I do next? Please help.

They turned down the invitation to the Logo debate. They refused to go to the Hispanic Presidential debate forum.... Now, they are saying no to Blacks.

Debate No-Shows Worry GOP Leaders
Candidates Are Urged to Attend Forums Sponsored by Minorities

Key Republican leaders are encouraging the party's presidential candidates to rethink their decision to skip presidential debates focusing on issues important to minorities, fearing a backlash that could further erode the party's standing with black and Latino voters.

The leading contenders for the Republican nomination have indicated they will not attend the "All American Presidential Forum" organized by black talk show host Tavis Smiley, scheduled for Sept. 27 at Morgan State University in Baltimore and airing on PBS. Former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, former senator Fred D. Thompson (Tenn.) and Sen.and Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) all cited scheduling conflicts in forgoing the debate.

Global warming? Look at the numbers
Lorne Gunter, National Post
Published: Monday, August 13, 2007
In his enviro-propaganda flick, An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore claims nine of the 10 hottest years on record have occurred in the last decade. That's been a common refrain for environmentalists, too, and one of the centrepieces of global warming hysteria: It's been really hot lately -- abnormally hot -- so we all need to be afraid, very afraid. The trouble is, it's no longer true.

Trying to explain my Q easy, so here goes:

USA is a country defined by borders (which are internationally agreed upon i'd assume, give or take a mile or so). Say i bought an acre of land within the borders of the USA, and owned that land outright. Is that land now soley owned by the me, or is it always 'borrowed' from the Governers of the country of the USA, whose borders the land lies within? Ie. Can the government claim this land as USA owned always (they're always above personal ownership contracts, so no one can go and claim land within the borders etc), and on the other hand, could i claim it as 'mine', and for an extreme example, say it was 'my country' on it's own, with it's own borders etc (ok, maybe not a counrty, but you hopefully get my point!)

Was just curious at how property law works, considering that all landmass' on earth bar antartica, are considere part of a counrty. So does anyone really, actually own land - or is it all just borrowed from the identity of a country
