"People are leaving because of the perception of crime, the yob culture, people don't want their kids to grow up here, the weather and the middle class are being taxed to oblivion.

"Many people who are 10th-generation or whatever English are saying things like: 'This is not the England I grew up in.'

"The fabric has changed, and people are sick of it."

For the Malhi family, enough was simply enough.

"It's just becoming too rough, and we just want to give the kids a better life," Mrs Malhi, a driving instructor, said. "

Could that happen here?

As far as crime goes for Australia there are two different sets of law and order as far as policing it, as well as the courts. One is done by the Australian Police Agencies. While the other is done by the Aboriginal Police Agencies, as the Aboriginals are pushing for more rights as to how the crimes committed by their people should be handled, and some form of punishment if any at all. And if people move out Bush or what they commonly refer to as the Outback, Or even the NT called the Centre (Alice Springs). They are going to be in for a real shocker. Specifically referring to the Aboriginal town camps where special permits have to be granted to non Aboriginals before they can visit.

Anyone up for Coober Pedy in SA where the weather above ground is around 140 degrees F during the day, and everyone lives underground to stay cool at around 70 degrees F?

Anyway... Australia still has it's fair share of crime, and all the other you made mention of Dar. The only difference is that Australia has far less population on the Continent yet. With so many emigrating there lately, that will soon change. So if I were to make a guess, this trend is because there is still a lot of elbow room down under.

I'm Shocked. I thought, US and Greece would take up third and fourth place of where the Brits would move. I was in Burbank and was talking to a Pollster. He told me that He's been seeing alot more English coming to the US. It's partly the Economy, weather, and also a cultural thing as well. I keep hearing that England is no longer for teh ENglish anymore. It has gotten worse with teh Polish flooding into their country. My friend who's Malaysian Chinese English American stated that she was tired of supporting some of the minority groups that refuse to work. She's A CHinese from Malaysia Who is a citizen of ENgland when she was young and married an American. Her daughter is part dutch and her company is trying to make her move to the US. I just wanted to say that because I think it's funny how multicultural people have gotten. Don't get mad about what my friend said, I'm just discussing how certain British feel. I think Australia is the number one destination, because it is one of the least tolerant to multiculturalism of the English speaking nations. They do take in their fair share of CHinese and Muslim immigrant, but there is alot of resistance as well. Plus Australia is considered a growth country, and it was once tooted as the new America.

It is happening in every country.I live in Hungary and there may be more Irish here then in Ireland.
It used to be a very isolated place when the communists were in power, now everyone from everywhere is coming here.I really don't know why since Hungary has a very bad economy and not many jobs. The language is insanely hard to learn and the people don't like strangers much.People just love to move I guess.

Sad. Well they do live in a more obvious police state and the cost of housing far surpasses ours. And they have horrible TV shows that they've brought over to us! Another reason to close our borders!
