i am an 17 year old teenager with add(attention deficite disorder) If there where to be a draft after i turned 18 would this keep me from serving in a war zone or the millitary altogeather?

No. People with ADD or ADHD are not allowed in the military. If it is documented by medical professionals, you will not be drafted or allowed to join. Now some people do develop mental conditions while in the service and, in certain cases, are allow to stay in.
There are other ways to serve your country besides military service that do allow people with ADD. You should be able to find something!

So be fortunate there's no draft now. and not going to be one.

Bottom line is no... ADD will not keep you from a draft.
Also, there isnt going to be a draft anytime soon unless China and Russia both attacked, or some scope of event like that.

Don't worry about a draft, it is not going to happen. As far as ADD goes, I really don't think the Army would let you become anybody's Battle Buddy, you depend on each other and beyond the wire you would be a liability.

ADD, along with other learning disorders is disqualifying for enlistment or appointment in the armed forces. So, you would not be able to serve in the first place. You are now, and will forever remain, a civilian.

I think I like this. There seems to be more and more concern about the draft. I hope that means it's closer to a reality.
In the mean time, don't worry about it. Maybe, by the time the draft gets reinstated, there will be a cure... but it's unlikely. You're counting on pseudo-sciences (psychology and psychiatry) causing the problem and pretending to try to find a cure.

the Army can cure that.. They'll get your attention and it will be undivided..If there is a draft you wouldn't get out of it on that.
