the undocumented who are trying to work , do not get any taxes back and are the result of bad policies created by NAFTA ???
or
the so many lose fugitives which should be reporting themselves to the police and nobody knows where they at which include child molesters and all kind of #$@#$@%$ which should not even be in the streets ???
note : please include wanted undocumented who also have crimes which ought to put them in prison not back to thieir countries .
note 2 : do not include in the second undocumented whose are only guilty of the felony of being here with out papers <<< not violent crime .
.... i have noticed that many who say to oppose the undocumented claim they understand a huge part of the problems is NAFTA however i have not seen any taking resposability for that , as if we could make whatever we want in other countries then run away and being ok with that . their only solution seems to be making criminals out of those which we created , sad no ???

changing the current laws to make that felony into a crime would make them criminals . plus since there is some which accept what i stated why can;t the same one accept it is not fair to create a problem and then to not accept what it comes with that mistake ??? .

i have found robs and slews answers interesting however i would like to mention that we are full employment and that the census indicates that it will only get better when it comes to be able to find a job because of the baby boomers retiring . the house market has reported too that the undocumented will inject 60 billions just in Taxes to that sector in the coming years . this can easily be found just by searching for that .

Overall, NAFTA is a joke. It is no different than outsourcing jobs to India or whatever country businesses use to up profit margins be offering contracts no US company would ever accept for a ridiculously low amount.
Major parts of the U.S. economy would collapse if not for these undocumented workers. They take jobs that most people in the US wouldn't do because the feel the job is beneath them or the pay is beneath them. The immigration system needs to be updated and streamlined, not an easy task, but something needs to be done about it.
Criminals will be criminals .. being a documented or undocumented immigrant, or US citizen is irrelevant from that standpoint. If someone commits a crime, they are/should be tried in a US court and suffer the consequences.
Saddest part is, the overall work ethic of a lot of these immigrants puts to shame a lot of the U.S. citizens work ethic. Companies aren't willing to put up the money to pay for a competetive wage based on average job salaries. A lot of people aren't willing to do manual labor jobs and immigrants step in and do the jobs for less money and generally put in a lot more effort.
At this point, it just happens to be Latinos who are the current focus of the "bad" immigrants for the most part. Almost every group of people that has come here, has taken their turn in the barrel of abuse. One day in the future, I'm sure we'll pick another group to beat on.

As for note 2, Please explain. It's a misdemeanor to be here illegally, unless you're refering to indentity theft, which is a felony.
There is no hard line when differentiating the seriousness of crime when ealing with illegal immigrants.
I would like to attack the most serious crimes first. The problem is the lessor crimes aid the more serious. As for those illegal immigrants who don't get their tax returns, they are still getting a bargain. This is a very expensive country to run. Illegal immigrants are too poor on average to be considered to pay for their own keep tax wise. The ppor was always subsidized by the middle class. It cost $10,000 on average to send one kid to school. Remember that we have to pay for infrastructure of our sity, government bureacracy. Police and fire Department, COunty Hospital, Public health, entitlement programs, reserve for natural disasters, and other stuff. These disporportionately expensive because we are less capable to outsource these duties or hire illegal immigrants to cut cost.
TO be honest, I've read your article and do understand that there are secondary tax benefits from having extra people in our country. I'm not sure if you actually know what the economist is talking, but those who add these into the illegal immigrants tax payment over exagerate it. The tax landlords pay should never be considered payed fully by illegal immigrants , because some of the land lord is operating at a lost and therefore illegal immigrants are not paying the full amount. Also the landlord has to pay for the taxes even if the illegal immigrants weren't here. It should only be considered an increase in tax revenue if property taxes increase because of illegal immgirants or if additional units were built because of illegal immigrants. There is another thing I found these articles don't consider, secondary expenditure and tax losses. In a side note if our salaries go down because of excess workers, the decrease in pay would mean a decrease in tax revenue, and because the middle class pay at a higher rate, they lost is disporportional. Also we must consider every arithmetic increase in population would mean a logarithmic increase in cost of services. An example is water. Getting local water is cheap, as population increase we go to a more expensive source, well water. After that, importing from far away place. Then we recylce waste water. We are at the point of desalination in California. If our population increase we would have to spend a disporportionate amount of money to accomadate the population increase.
If anyone got a headache on this join the club. That's why I roll my eyes on economic surveys. It's too contorted for anyone to understand. Most of them are just propaganda for one side or the other.
Edit:>>> I don't want you to take my Caffeine induce rambling as to stop reading the articles you have been posting and would encourage you to continue.
As for taking responsibility of NAFTA. It's not all America's fault. The powerful in Mexico is encouraging it themselves. Several of the worlds most prominent companies are in Mexico. Cemex, Vitro, Telmex an other huge protected monopolies. Do you think Mexico would decide to take part in this with out the approval of the ruling caste of Mexico. Mexico's businesses are allowed to operate unhinderd in AMerica, but we still have restriction to operate in Mexico. Mexicans aren't stupid, and their rish are equal n manipulating people.
Edit:>>> I know were at about 5% unemployment , but the data also show our income is stagnant if not going down. The old unemloyment models don't work, because according to the same model our salaries should be going through the roof. What some studies state is that our income as steadily gone down since the 80's, although I believe it has gone down since the 50's. The MAIN reason is that a higher percent of our population is working and is driving the salaries down. THe main force IS NOT the illegal immigrant, nor even the legal ones. It is a change in behavior of the Americans. Particularly, a higher percent of our females have gone to work. THe thing is that if you believe this study, adding extra labor like immigrants would have a similar affect. I never said illegal immigrants are the main cause of lower salaries, but an aggravating factor. A BBC study also stated that the CHina affect is causing our salary to go down. It stated that Illegal immigrants are a part of it. As I said , Illegal immigrant is not a major part of the problem , but a contributing factor. One must differentiate between the economy of the governmetn and the individual. I do believe that the larger our nation, the bigger our economy. Illegal immigrants do increase the money our country generate. But that does not equate an improvement of the individual economy. The more people there are the more they will take from the pie. What the BBC article stated was that people are getting a smaller piece.
I do personally believe the US must learn to cut back in our consumption to be fair to the world. It's how we do it is the question.

As far as NAFTA and all the damage it's done not just in the massive job lose in Mexico but also here I can understand why we have the illegal immigrant problems we do. No it doesn't make it right that they come but at the same time we could be letting our voices be heard. We can't change another countries policies to it's people but we CAN change our trading policies with them.If we demanded they treat their people humanely and provide adequate care or we WON'T renew ANY trade deals these countries would HAVE to shape up or lose out.So yes we can effect a change in their country. And make them responsible to their citizens so we don't have to be.

The undocumented worker does not worry me in the least, I think my biggest concern at the criminals loose on our streets.
I am not talking about the illegal entry ones, But the murderers, Rapist, child molesters etc. It cost as much to keep a person in jail for illegal entry as for keeping a murderer in prison. American jails are over crowed, and many violent crime criminals are getting early release because of the overcrowding and we have read /heard of many in the news recently. America has over 2million people incarcerated, Imagine the cost to our prison system/
government for incarcerating people for petty crimes,
It your Tax money use it as you wish.

Nobody "makes" a criminal. People choose to break the law (or obey the law) by themselves. I do agree that NAFTA was one of the biggest mistakes that Clinton made and should be repealed immediately.

I see some big problems here. Any one can see that.
Maybe these Good undocumented immigrants should see we have a problem too. A control problem and quit fighting against the people here and join them in a better solution that what many are suggesting. One that is for the good of this Country and its people that they claim they want to be a part of. That is what troubles me the most. A lack of control and order --to this whole mess. Too bad laws are neither followed or enforced. Seems many people feel they should be the exception to the rules. After all they have their reasons (excuses is a better word).
