In the 1990s, some nuts published a video called "The Clinton Chronicles" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_Chronicles) wherein they alleged that Bill Clinton, while governor of Arkansas, oversaw and empowered cocaine smuggling into Arkansas. It also alleges that several people who worked both under Bill and with Hillary in the Rose Law Firm were co-conspirators.

My question is, why do nuts really think people who give up much of their own personal freedom and privacy in order to serve our nation are criminals out to harm us?

Most politicians are decent hard working people who are law abiding, and yet some among us like to besmirch their reputations. Do they do it out of jealousy?

< As topic reads, would the world be better or worse without America?

Oh, and it helps (not to mention makes for a fun read) if you back your answer up with an explanation, maybe some weighing in on history (what America did right vs. what it did wrong), etc... instead of just an answer.

When you hear people say that the troops are uneducated low-income college-aged teens/young adults who blast war music in their tanks (as seen in Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11), does it get to you? Or do you agree with them? What's the consensus (of Y!A members that is) on "supporting the troops?"

This is an unbiased question - I won't insert my personal comments.

CONGRESSMEN NOW PRACTISING EXECUTIVE PRIVLAGE?

Some of our Congressmen are now using the same methods the Bush Admin use to evade legal subpoena to congressmembers refuseing to provide documents, testimony in bribery case.

Now our congress is acting like G.W. and Cheney.

When are Americans going to Grow a set and put a stop to this.

My dad told me about a situation that happened between him and a doctor yesterday.

He has been diagnosed as having high cholesteral and the doctor wrote him a prescription for a popular drug to control it. The doctor warned him however, that one of the possible side effects of the drug is that in certain people, it will case extreme muscule degeneration, which will in turn cause the destroyed tissue to travel by blood to the kidneys, which will also be destroyed. There is no way to forsee this until after it has happened, eventually leading to a paralysis-type state or death.

My dad refused the medication and has no other options as diet and exercise do not work either.

Now, what you need to realize is that, when looking at the many proposed frameworks for a Nationalized Healthcare Program, EVERY ONE will require that if a doctor prescribes medication, you do not have the right to refuse it.......

I made a complaint of harassment to my employer. My employer refused to carry out their harassment policy and my union colluded with them in changing my complaint to a greivance.

I never asked for the complaint to be heard as a greivance it was always harassment.

My union rep will now not contact me until he has taken legal advice.

What is the best way forward?

I think it is very unfortunate that this is the big story in the media and what people are talking about on the internet. WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT A STUPID WEBSITE SAID? These political pundits, commentators, politicians and media are acting like immature children. They focus on issues like controversial ads instead of what is really important now. There are real issues going on like the war in Iraq.
