CONGRESSMEN NOW PRACTISING EXECUTIVE PRIVLAGE?

Some of our Congressmen are now using the same methods the Bush Admin use to evade legal subpoena to congressmembers refuseing to provide documents, testimony in bribery case.

Now our congress is acting like G.W. and Cheney.

When are Americans going to Grow a set and put a stop to this.

Congressmen cannot claim Executive Privelage, that is a function of the Executive Branch.

Not quite the same. Subpoenas are supposed to be specific. They do not cover everything. For instance, they need to say they are looking for a certain type of document or a typewriter or a knife. The Bush subpoenas were extremely specific on the records required.

From the story:

"What the documents entail is a mystery. According to Roll Call, "the Members could not respond because it was unclear what the subpoenas are seeking."

They are following the lead of Cheney, who claimed executive privilege so he wouldn't have to reveal the details of his Enron-dictated "Energy Plan."

Now that he and his criminal cabal have jacked oil prices up to $80/bbl he claims he isn't a member of the executive branch after all?

If your vice president can't grow a set, how do you expect anyone else to?
