As bad as this Bush goverment is? I'd say he's going to try his hardest. It will most likely turn out like the Iraq war. He will land on an airbase and declare victory YEARS before it will really happen.

No, I don't really think the government can deport 20 million illegals, but as soon as the government and states start closing down businesses that hire illegals you'll start to get some numbers. Forget the idea of amnesty for these people, we have old timers here in the USA that have worked hard for this country and are having a hard time making ends meet, going to the Social Security offices for help and can't get it because of people of other countries looking for benefits. Visit your nearest Social Security offices to take a look and see, unless you live where these people can't find your state, city, or town.

they'll leave on their own they already are. it will take changes in the law. look at the number of people who are opposed to illegal immigration on yahoo answers it's a good indication of public opinion. the illegals who went to the vigil for the cop in AZ. that an illegal killed because an amnesty supporting radio host recommended they do so as they now fear a backlash!!! the senators who were going to support the dream act and dropped it like a hot rock!!! our government thinks if they let things die down we'll forget. but all they're doing is allowing a boiling pot to continue to boil and when steam builds things blow. our economy is going down the tubes with the sub prime loans and house foreclosures. people do crazy things when you put money pressures on them. things they would not do otherwise. we vote illegals can't so who do you think will win. legislators may get money from big business but we have the ability to take their jobs from them and if they're anything they're greedy! if they aren't in office think of all the money they'll lose. no more big wage no more greased palms and no more freebies. illegals will go, watch legislators will quit backing them and they'll let our laws be enforced.

Are you sure...really, really sure about that...I think not. Your confidence is astounding though. When they have finished serving the purpose of the govt. they will be sent back. There is a purpose for each player in this game and amnesty is not the reason they are being allowed to stay. There is a much bigger picture you need to consider, accept, and then get on with your life.

We wouldn't have to deport them all. If we seal the border, deport the ones that are found, crack down very hard on people that hire them, and take away the social services that they get for free, they will self deport.

I think the American government can do any thing the people demand of it. Little by little, a few criminal aliens deported at a time, America will become stronger and more prosperous.

The government will not have to deport 20 million people. The government, in conjunction with legal Americans have decided to enforce laws creating a situation where illegal aliens deport themselves.

Because I shouldn't have to and it is my constitutional right to stand up for my beliefs. I am not working so people can come here illegally, have anchor babies and reap the benefits that come with it, without having to pay taxes that gives them medicaid for their kids and food stamps.
