Seems like a very stupid position to take when you hold more power than any other nation.

I was arrested when I was 16. The original charge was a felony but I got it reduced to a misdemeanor through a plea agreement and it was since expunged. I don't recall ever being fingerprinted, so I think I am safe.
Fingerprint background checks can only check cases where you were fingerprinted, correct?

As a proportion of its wealth, the US is one of the stingiest in the world (see table above).
If you add private donations they only rise to 13th of the countries mentioned in the table.

"You may think it is harmless. It is not. You may think it is aimed at me. it is not. It is aimed at all of you. They are after you. All of you are their target. Its aim is to see the day to day way of life, the decent things of life, that the majority want, demolished and destroyed. It is a movement that is in its infancy in this country. It is world wide but no mistake about it, it is spreading."

Think about it. We have a Sino (China)-Japan ruled Asia, and an EU and an energy superpower Russia. While this is good in terms of trade and wealth. Doint you think it will make future warfare much more costly? Consider WW2 was simply Japan and Germany at most. Two not necessarily large nations. If it goes up with continental unions EU, China, Russia we can expect a war that not costs millions of lives but will reach hundreds of millions or billions. Even from an economic perspective, you would crush entire continents. If you broke China today, it would take all of Asia with it. If the US broke for sure both N and S America would collapse! Does this not scare anyone?

Unless you imply you are above the law then I don't think your life should be valued more then anyone elses. This is a democratic country not some communist country.

Then why do people who kill police officers get the death penalty while other murders get life or less?

Don't try to say your job is dangerous and your better then everyone else. You don't have to do it if you don't want too... You can always be lawyer or doctor that makes more money.

I would like to suggest that we try a different approach!
I would like to suggest that all those who haven't already...read all of Neale Donald Walsch's books...beginning with the Conversations with God trilogy!

The reason I am making this suggestion, is that these books are not ONLY spiritual....they are ALSO political, and they offer the best ideas I have ever found, for real solutions to most of the issues we struggle with all the time.

Most of you already have the basic understandings, and even more than just basic....or you would not be liberals. And reading these books would help to fine tune your understanding, and it would also give us workable ideas that we could focus on, and different ways of approaching the other side, and helping them to better understand...without all the hate and animosity, and frustration.

Anyone who is open minded enough, and willing to take me up on my suggestion, is more than okay with me!

Peace and Love to all of you!

It all makes sense to me now. Why UN "peacekeepers" were to sit idly by while tens of thousands of Serbs were murdered and/or evicted from their homes under KFOR's "watchful eyes." Why nothing was done to stop the looting and destruction of countless churches and monasteries, almost all of which were hundreds of years old. Why a decision for independence was so quickly made...

Ahtisaari was bought off by the KLA:

* "Whereas, on The Finnish News Agency, STT, published on June 26 and June 27, 2007, two articles stating that the UN Special Envoy for Kosovo was "bought" by the Albanian mafia in order to support independence for Kosovo."
* "The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was informed that Albanian separatists in Kosovo had paid for Ahtisaari's plan which proposed ultimate independence for the Serbian province."
* "Brig. Neiman had recordings of discussions between Ahtisaari and Albanians; how they transferred money; the banks accounts plus codes in Switzerland and Cyprus."

As I read the column, my stomach churned. In a stunning new low, even for the liberal torch-bearing New York Times, Mr. Levitt was, indeed, literally soliciting suggestions from readers as to the most effective ways to slaughter Americans. At the hands of our terrorist enemies.

For instance, by law Americans are not allowed to enter Cuba, or any company to invest in it. Also, 18yos are not allowed to vote or drink alcohol, but they can choose (or be chosen) to go to war. Also, sometimes some songs are banned in the US, like "Shoot the dog" of George Michael (I didn't know the Government still banned songs!!!). Does anyone knows more things in that Americans are not free to do?
