Why do we have over 100,000 troops in Europe? The russian ground forces are in total shambles. The European nations have a larger population and economy when combined than the US. Let them defend themselves, the cold war is over!! It would take the Russian government a decade or more to even assemble a force that could take back its old satellites, much less invade Europe.

South Korea has five times the population of North Korea and at least 40 times the economy. Can't they defend themselves? China is no longer backing North Korea so don't use that argument. They are happy making lots of money and don't want a conflict.

And of course japan can defend themselves.

The US last year spent 50% of ALL the world's military spending. No wonder when we spend over $100 billion a year defending countries that can defend themselves. We need to just focus on OUR interests. The founding fathers would be ashamed that we have become the world's police.

I chose to support Bush because I am a christian and Jesus appointed President George Bush to bring order to a world that needs it.

He has liberated Iraq
He has Liberated Afghanistan
He has Disarmed Libya
He has nearly stopped the North Korean Nuclear Program
He has given great tax cuts to people that deserve it.
He has inproved and overhauled medicaid
He has the best economy in US History

Why do people seem to have memory loss when it comes to these facts.???

Doesn't that send people red flags? I don't get it. It's obvious that she doesn't believe what she says. She tells the people what they want to hear. What I don't get is why are people still in favor of her? This woman is dangerous. America, let's not make another mistake.

We have no actual say in the vote for president. I think we should, but only for those with a college degree. There are too many ignorant people to make an educated vote if we had full public elections ofr president.
What do you think of only letting those with a college degree vote for president?

I love my country!

I love our way of life and all that our GREAT NATION has to offer!

It is bad enough to hear foreigners belittling the US, but Americans self-absorbed in rhetoric about our leaders and this wonderful country as well! Shameful display of loyalty!!!

To you foreigners who slander America! This American says GO STRAIGHT TO you know where!

I went into a recruiting office a few weeks back and started my paperwork for the NAVY. They've got my basic info already, but I'm having second thoughts.

I have not done the ASVAB or gone to MEPS at this time and I am no longer interested in joining. Since I am pretty much under processed paper work wise, can't I just call and express my lack of interest?

Can anyone provide a meaningful answer as to what to do?

Thanks,

He will be crossing into Kuwait today, or perhaps he already has. How long before he will get home? Will he get time to spend with his family when he gets home? His enlistment is not up until next March.
We are not too certain how soon it will be before we see him and how will he be... My parents and I expect him to be depressed and angry. Any suggestions from people who have had loved ones return from Iraq? Thanks.

Former White House counsel Harriet Miers and White House Chief of Staff John Bolten have refused to testify before Congress about the firing of 9 U.S. attorneys. Is it time to waterboard them, or make them participate in a naked human pyramid? Hey, if the U.S. wants to have the right to torture, it should use it!
