Thanks for the link. I can see there are still some liberals who hate to see the truth. At least they were forced to return what they stole.

the liberal Washington Post broke the story http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A26094-2001Feb4?language=printer

I was just wondering if there is any solid confirmation that they did indeed return the stolen loot.

Yep. They returned it.
Here's the link. Anyone who denies it is a liar.

http://archives.cnn.com/2001/ALLPOLITICS/stories/02/07/clinton.furniture/index.html

White House Chief Usher Gary Walters tells CNN that former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton have notified the White House they intend to return $28,000 in furnishings they removed from the White House when moving out in January.

Critics have raised persistent questions about whether removing the furniture was appropriate -- and whether the furniture was a gift to the Clintons or to the White House. Walters told CNN that the Clintons said they wanted to avoid any questions of impropriety, although they insisted that a check of the records indicated the gifts were available to them.

The Park Service serves as a steward for the White House and is the only unit with the legal authority to accept gifts for the White House, according to the Post. A gift meant for the current White House occupants, by contrast, is routed through the White House gifts office, a separate unit.

Two of the furniture makers whose donations the Clintons took with him told the Washington Post earlier this week their gifts were part of a widely publicized, $396,000 redecoration of the executive mansion and not meant for Clinton personally.

"When we've been asked to donate, it was always hyphenated with the words, 'White House,"' New York manufacturer Steve Mittman told the Post of his family-owned business, which gave two sofas, an easy chair and an ottoman, worth $19,900 and listed by Clinton as part of the gifts he took with him.

The White House Furniture

The Clintons are as close to Slimey wantabe royaly aristocrats as you can get. They used the powers of the Presidency for their political future pardoning the Puerto Rican terrorists, so she could garner votes amongst that group in NYC. They profited with book deals making the timing happen so it wasen't a conflict of senate ethics violation even though it went against the spirit of the law, wile they hold others to the spirit standard. They are frauds and miscreants. Renting the Lincoln bedroom, missing FBI files Closed door policy making over healthcare, but it's OK to chastise the Bush Admin over closed door policy making. Hypocrates and liars. Classless self servers. At least Nixion resigned ovr what was only a coverup, and dishonesty. He had at least the nations best intrests at heart when he cast his legacy into the toilet and resigned. Clinton aid and abedded by Hillary, whored themselves for their legacies sake and put their politcal future ahead of the countries intrests. Remember this is the time frame Saddam took advantage of American political disary and kicked the UN wepons inspectors out of Iraq in violation of the cease fire agreement, that eventially put this whole question of Iraq as a nation threat in GB's lap. Had the inspectors not been kicked out, the reality of a war their may never have happened. This is why credibility of a president is of the utmost. A uncredible president means an uncredable nation. They never cooperated with anyone, never will alow people to see what their really doing, and won't release tax info either. What ever happen to the furniture and art that was stolen from the white house? Only 1/2 of it was returned. EDIT - Always with the moral equivilance. Where not talking about a few missing e-mails. Were talking about abuse of the power of the presidency for finantial gain and political favors. There is not a vacancy sign on bushes white house, nor missing FBI Files 9in the white house attic, or billing records in question, a special prosicuter looking into Bush. So instead of tying to muddy the water with what some other administration is doing, answer the quewstion on it's merits. There is a question on the payment to pardons for money directly implicating Hillary in scandlous and unethical behavior. If thet wanted to they could release pretty much anything they want unless the current president sees it as a breach of nation security, then it is the current presidents decision.

I think some minor things were returned but most were not and no charges were followed up on for the damages that Clinton staffers did to the Executive Office Building and equipment in it. To bad many people forget that or really never were informed as to how blatant this was.

I read in "The Case Against Hillary Clinton", by Peggy Noonan, and "Rewriting History", by Dick Morris, that the thefts did occur, but the Clintons were forced to return most of the furniture to the White House. The denials, of course, are straight out of the Clinton Playbook. He rarely admits to wrong doing, unless cornered, and she never does, which are just further illustrations of their complete lack of character.

Those stories were about as true as Sadam having anything to do with 9/11 and having weapons of mass destruction.
Oh ya she didn't take all the "b's" off the typewriters either. Even the Clinton White House used computers.

I never heard anything that said they did. The guy above me had a link but it didn't say they returned $28,000 in furnishings it said they planned to return it but that's just like an alcoholic saying that he intends to get sober and the second answer you got is a liar and a half. The guy above me proves she's a liar.

Why are these liberal so gullible and lie about this BS?
