I dont think america is any freer then any other democratic government. I think if we consider ourselfs to maybe some muslim countries we are free but in america everything is regulated.
One of my biggest issues I have is laws that only affect me. That law should not be in effect. Example..

seat belt law-Obviously I wear my seatbelt out of a habit and plus I dont mind having it on. But why is it the governments fault to tell me that I have to wear it. IF there is a car accident and I am not wearing my seatbelt and I die, get paralized or whatever that is my fault. I chose not to wear that seatbelt. That should be a person choice not a law.

I am supposed to be free to make my own decisions yet that decision is not one that I can make on my own.
Now if I was drunk and driving I can understand that law because I am putting other peoples lifes at risk. So that is a good law on the books.

Maybe it makes them feel good when we sing the blues. In America you are as free as the money in your pocket. If you are working class, or living in poverty, freedom means little, for all you know each day is work, sleep and worry.

In the US, we have not lost any freedoms. To me "freedom" is a sacred word. You don't say what country your in. Maybe you should relocate.
