Should it be banned or should it just be censored a lot more i.e. a lot of it taken off the internet.
How do you feel about the way women are degraded? Or do you think they are not being degraded?

Psalm 101:3 says, "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me."

Matthew 5:27-9 says, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell."

Any real believer in the Bible will do whatever he can to remove temptation to sin as far away from himself as possible. Yes, it is degrading to women and all others who participate.

It's safe to say that only out-of-touch people such as the extreme religious right or the extreme feminist left seriously wants to see it banned. The average normal person anywhere in between sees nothing wrong with it as long as only adults perform in it, and only adults view it. Also, it's for the individual to decide what's "degrading" for him or her, and there's absolutely no evidence to suggest that women are being underpayed or coerced into the industry. There are plenty of traditional jobs which I think are far more degrading - like working as a waitress practically begging customers for tips, or as a drone flipping burgers at McDonalds, or pretty much anywhere in the retail industry. If it was banned, a lot of those women (who really don't have the skill or talent to get "respectable" high-paying traditional jobs) would be forced to take such menial and low-paying work and be far worse off than they are now. Censorship would, in fact, be a disservice to women.

I don't think it should be banned or censored. I don't think it should be taken off the Internet, the television, or from magazines/books. It is someone's choice on whether they want to view it or not. Don't like it? Don't look at it. I don't like looking at fat people in mini shorts but you know what, nothing I can do about it. I deal with it. That is what people should learn to do when they don't like looking at something. For all those parents concerned about their children seeing it...well maybe you should supervise them a little bit more or put blockers on your net.
i don't think pornography is degraded women or men. Sex is just that...sex. Been around for millenniums. I would think people would be used to it by now.

I don't believe it should be banned or censored. However, I believe it should be regulated more. Pornography is a billion dollar industry with much of it profits going untaxed/ I pay my share of taxes in full and I reasonably expect the pornography industry to do the same/

As for the women degrading thing... Common! lol
Nobody is putting a gun to their heads and making them do it! It was their choice and free will to engage in the pornography activity.

Pornography that requires crime in the making of it -- child porn, snuff films -- should be banned to the full extent of the law. Everything else should be available, with some security checks to keep out underaged viewers. Pornography sites should NOT be allowed to couch their sites under seemingly innocent names/links, and should not be allowed to keep popping up more pictures every time the unwary visitor tries to close down a picture they didn't want--that's a form of harrassment. But otherwise, I see no problem with it.

Yes, some of it--by no means all--degrades women. To me, that's a good measurement by which to judge whether or not I want ANYTHING to do with a guy. If he's turned on by the uglier stuff, we're clearly not a match.

pornography is an art most times and unless the women are being forced into taking their clothes off then there is no degrading it's a choice. if you don't like it ...don't look at it.
Child porn on the other hand...Anyone caught making it should be payed by a bullet in the head.

Why ban it or censor it? Women are not degraded they put themselves in the position to be in this videos so obviously they enjoy the attention they are getting. Again as long as its consenting adults shouldnt be illegal.

It should be allowed freely. No one is being degraded by doing as he/she pleases.

My views are usually very clear. I got a big screen TV just for that purpose.

if you don't like porn, don't watch it.

if women feel they are being degraded, they should stop cashing the checks.

those who are unable to make their own decisions should be protected.
