Hello,
Can anyone suggest me a good fiction novel to read? I am mostly interested in eventful military novels. I enjoyed the Halo story line, as a futuristic novel with a seemingly accurate depiction of the future (I can't stand futuristic novels with convoluted ideas of the future). I also enjoyed books by Michael Salazar, in which a military para-rescue specialist gets involved in a top secret mission to infiltrate a foreign military compound. Doesn't have to be futuristic; perhaps a story in which some military person finds something extraordinary, like a secret base or something. or a submarine stumbling upon a frozen antarctic spaceship.

I'm quite open on the matter :) , so if any of you can recommend good military/adventure fiction novels please do.

Thanks!

Everyone around me seems to think I'm completely insane, but I believe they should.

If someone owns a business, I think they should be permitted to fire a worker for no reason at all. Even if it's because of a prejudice. I think that if you own a business, it should be your right. You're the one who has to pay these people and be around these people all day, every day. If you have something against gay people, I think you should be able to fire them because they're gay, and hire a straight person instead. Whatever. Someone still gets a job, and someone still doesn't.

Am I crazy for thinking this? Give me your opinion and why.

It's about time to admit we lost the war in Vietnam. They should admit it and move on. They fought for nothing. They died for nothing. Admit it and move on and enjoy what life you have left.

I thought liberals were all for free speech.

Progressives want to silence those voices who disagree with them.

Sound familar to anyone?

I have seen the mob think about what think of Fox.

If anything should worry about freedoms this attack is sure one of them.

If cops don't make enough then why don't they quit? There are other types of jobs that they can do.

I don't work at MC Donalds.because I don't like making $7.50 an hour.

Don't say that it's because prices have raised because alot of people have had to quit jobs before they could retire just to keep up. Why should you be different?

Also there are cops who want to protect and serve that accpet the fact they don't make much money. So don't even say that you are needed...

18 yrs of age be required to register and be drafted just like men?

During a recent Democratic debate, both Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama indicated that all female U.S. citizens should register for the Selective Service. Neither candidate was as ridiculous as former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, who said, when it comes to men and women being drafted, "What's the difference?" But the radical and dangerous implications of the front-runners' policies are not that far from Gravel's query.

Person in front of me hit a dog's leg. Person behind me thought I hit the dog's leg. Police spoke to me, they checked my license, registration, and ny state inspection (stating they were fine). No papers were given to me and he left to "find out what's going on" after I gave him the car info on the car in front of me. Owner somehow got my unlisted number. Owner calls about 4-5 times a day stating "You hit my dog, call me". If no papers were given to me in ny state it is safe to say that I was not found liable? And then the owner is wrong for accusing me? I called the police station to tell them the owner keeps harrassing me and accusing me of hitting his dog. No papers given at scene in ny state=not found guilty right?

I try to know why you dislike EU and I've never been able to find someone giving me a reasonable reason why.
And don't say immigration as it has nothing to do with EU. As well you like to emigrate to the weet France where property are better built and cheaper.

This Iraqi veteran was at this Big Boy restaurant in Mt Clemens and these two Iraqi people walked in and saw the Marine sitting at the able. They walked up to the Marine and said "You're wasting your time in Iraq and you will not beat the Iraqi people so go home". (Note: Michigan has over 250,000 Iraqi people in the area) The Marine was so angry he couldn't eat. He shook like a leaf in the wind.

Have you noticed how cops pull over the white line at a stop light? Must think they are above the law.. I was looking in my handbook and it says to stop behind the line not allow you car infront of it.

This isn't the only crime the commit, I was driving on the interstate and some dude passed me at 80 mph I was going 70. Guess who? A police officer... Sure there are other driving to fast but shouldn't the cop set an example? Interstate is 70 mph.

must be nice to have that right to break the law....

Right now, in America, only boys age 16 or older have to register at the post office for draft purposes. And Bush's political adviser is considering the possibility of bringing back the draft.

For the sake of equality should both men and women be drafted?

A representative of a Korean company went to the US for a recruitment purposes, they will hire retired pilot obviously to fly a plane. Negotiation push through, everything is just fine, they proceed to South Korea for a few briefing then smuggled inside the North Korea. Once they were inside the communist fortress the two pilot got the impression they were hired for a different purpose, unless they comply they will be killed.

One night a plane similar to B-52 taxi out of the runway, pilotedby the two Americans together with their North Korean escort, they will proceed to Washington carrying a cargo of bomb(nuke)obviously. The plane has the ensignia of the US Airforce in the body of the plane together with the US uniform.

Now,the question -can this be detectable in entering the US air space? Can they fool the US military on this?
