Our government was established with a clear seperation of church and state. Religous beliefs are personal and varied. As such, no one set of beliefs should be used to decide who can or can't do something, what ideas are taught or what programs are getting gov't. funding. Conversely, as long as churches follow the laws, government has no place telling them what they can believe.

Religion should not control or make decisions regarding politics or our government.

Congress shall "make no law" respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

"Make no law" is what the U. S. Constitution has said.

If you are an atheist, NO. You want religions to be seen as they are, without any help or hinderance from the government.

If you are religious, NO. You'd want your religion to show its own power. A true religion doesn't need to rely on humans to enforce its tenants and traditions.

No. I'm sick of politics trying to control religion. This world is going to ****. I'm sick of the government telling people we can't have a Christmas Tree on display or a baby Jesus. I say if your religious you should display whatever you want on YOUR LAND. Be proud of who you are. People and the government need to lighten the hell up.

As the end of time approaches, the Bible says it will get worse and we would eventually have to hide our Christian beliefs, for they will rule what religion they want. Christians would have to meet in private and worship in private or be tormented or punished, that happened way back in the Bible too.

Legislators have already made enough laws. What's left to do is enforcement. If someone's religion violates existing laws (say, your religion insists you kill christians if they don't convert to Islam) then that person will go to jail. The freedom of religion should not cause measurable harm to another person's freedom.

Governments roll is to guard & guarantee my right to worship as I choose - without interference from others or the government. Government cannot tell me how to worship.

That is the true meaning of separation of church & state.
