kris, God does talk to more than one (those born of the spirit), but only some listen. There were warnings on 9/11 & too many didn't listen. Kim clements had a vision of it yrs before & it is documented at one of his teachings. But? People too often don't listen. So? Since 9/11, I try to pray in the spirit 1st thing every morning & follow after the spirit throughout the day. Because we need to be ready. God knows what is around the next corner. We don't.

Dr Persian, Good answer. But there is a clear difference between Gods voice & demonic voices. Demonic voices tempt your flesh to yell scream, lie, slander, steal or kill. People who are mature in the Word & learned discernment (gift of God) of what is good & what is bad. I have excercised my discernment of spiritual, so it would be no doubt it was God telling me to stop in traffic. Because I do go different ways than the normal drive, by spiritual guidance confirmation in my spiritman. If God told me not to get on the plane, I wouldn't get on it.

Do you ever wonder sometimes why things happen, like one day you decide to take a different route to work or you end up getting stuck in a situation that seems bad?

I was so miffed yesterday that I got stuck behind this slow driver on my way home. The road I take home has many hills and turns, Just as I was about to start cursing this person under my breath, a big diesel truck comes flying up around a curve on our side of the road. (he was passing a car)

If that slow car had not been in front of me, I might have been dead on set to be in that trucks path as it came around that blind curve.

This SPECIAL mentality is saved for the short bus! We are all unimportant peons in the grand scheme of things. Why would our Higher Power appear to a mere mortal man and give him such an order? Sounds more like something we should attribute to Belzebub! The dark legions are at work here. Worship mother earth and nature and you'll not be telling lies such as this. What was this guy smoking to think that any god would speak to him. I've heard far too much of this BS about god spoke to me. If you believe that I have some prime real estate and a few statues and bridges to sell you. In this day and age with the legal system we own, god would be in prison. He did send his son to be brutally tortured, beaten, then murdered. That is a clearcut crime. Follow the examples set by the Asians and the Native Americans and you can't be far from right.

Hi- To answer your question- ABSOLUTELY! To those negative people that have answered ur question- GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOU! THERE IS A GOD- TAKE HEED! I have been in the Medical Field for over 27 years, and holding a person's hand as they die, and go to the other side is testimony for me to know there is a God. Have you ever held the hand of a dying person's hand, told them it is OK to die, and to have them see the light, and explain what it is like? AMEN- YOU ARE DARNED RIGHT I WOULD STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC IF GOD NUDGED ME AND SAID TO STOP- THERE MAY BE DANGER AHEAD! Have a great week-end!

i think all u people who are doubting His power need to take a step back and remember why ur still on this earth. Whether u believe in Him or not doesnt matter, He believes in you. he made you for a reason and this man in this article did what he was told and in turn the Lord spared his life. most of us never get that chance. Dont knock someone else's beliefs just because u have none. I think everyone has to have someone or something to believe in and Mine is Jesus Christ. I've listened to him many times in my life and I know he'll show me the right way to go if I just listen. And thats just what the man in this article did. Praise God for talking to this mans' heart!!! He made the right decision.

Only if I knew beyond the shadow of all doubt that it was Him telling me to stop... if I was unsure, and didn't stop, I know He would understand and forgive me.

AND, if I needed to stop in traffic, I would do it only in a safe manner; otherwise, knowing God Himself, as I do, and knowing His Word, as I do, I would know that it was not Him telling me to stop. I know for a fact that God would not have me injure another person.

As a Christian, of course I would obey not only that I am a Christian and that I should follow His orders because He is all-knowing, but also to the fact that God cares for me. Even though following His orders would cost my life, I know that God won't let me down.

I know and we all known that God gave us freedom or free will to do anything we wanted to do, but it is up to us if we'll listen and obey or just follow what we want.

That's a spurious question. In this fantasy, do we know for a fact it is God? If it was in fact the 'big man' himself, then i would know that they're really is an afterlife....and how we conduct ourselves on this earth, while alive, means everything. Taking all of that into consoderation, i would certainly stand out in traffic.

Its hard to tell if God is talking to you, but this guy had an obvious vision and if i had that i sure as well wouldn't be going onto no bridge. But why weren't others told to stop? is it right that God picks and chooses?

Can we please keep it all in perspective? Considering the events that followed, yes, I would obey. It would be totally different if he was in the middle of an intersection and came to a dead stop and then reported that G-d told him to.

i think this is not a think you can refere to your imagination for that....if some one is at the position..where god...sends him messages...,! that human being must be some true believer in god..!..so...when god asks him to stop! there is no doubt he would ever walk again!!!......you have to be at the position, when you hear the voice ,which you know is from god!!!..that sure should stop you!!!..you must know..there are people, who say ,they hear voices in their heads, asking them many things, and encouraging for doing things they usually wouldnt!..and some times..ordering them to even kill..,worst case,,a mother hears a voice ,who leaves her no choice ,but to suffocate her little kid!.!~these are voices that they know arent from god..or any holy figure!!..,although,these people are called,psychotic...but..they are under the influence of a dictating power ,asking them to do various things!!!...and..when ...its truely..god!!..I WILL STOP...And..WONT MOVE..,,UNTILL HE ASKS ME TO!@..this is what any body else does!!!
