Just curious. I am pulling for HIllary, but I have a sinking feeling Giullaini (sp?) is going to win. It always seems to come down to the "household names".

I was discharged from the Navy about 6 years ago. Unfortunately I received a general discharge (under honorable conditions) with an RE-4 reentry code. The narrative reason for separation was misconduct with an HKQ code. After 6 yrs now, I have graduated from college and I am interested in going back to the service. I wanted to join the army national guard and go to officer candidate school. And so, I was wondering if I can do this even though I wasn't honorably discharge from the Navy. I live in San Antonio, TX and any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Beginning in 1920, anti-Zionist propaganda insisted that Zionists were going to dispossess and expel the Arabs of Palestine. In 1922, at the beginning of the British Mandate, there were about 660,000 Arabs in Palestine, while at the end of the British mandate there were about 1.3 Million Arabs. About 735,000 lived in the areas that would become Israel after the War of Independence. There were more Arabs in Palestine than had ever lived there before in all of recorded history, and their standard of living, which had been considerably below that of Arabs in neighboring countries, was well above it. The Arab claim of dispossession, repeated so often in Mandatory Palestine, was an invention. When the UN partitioned Palestine in 1947, the Palestinians, initiated attacks against the Jews, and the Jewish underground groups retaliated. The forces of both sides consisted of poorly trained underground armies and volunteers, who committed massacres against civilian targets and fought in built up areas. The Palestinian Arab community was not well organized however, and began fleeing the country, expecting to return when the war was over and victorious Arab armies liberated Palestine. However, the Jews won the war, and enacted a law preventing the return of the refugees. Given that the refugees were hostile to the new state, the attitude of the Israeli government was understandable. After World War II, numerous Germans were expelled or fled from areas of Germany annexed by Poland and from the Czech Sudetensland. The flight and expulsion of the Palestinian refugees, while in part due to the actions of Jewish terrorist groups and the Israeli army was not, as anti-Zionists claim, the result of a fundamental tenet of Zionist ideology, but rather an unfortunate product of the war that was instigated by the misguided leadership of the Arabs of Palestine.

I'm showing a movie at the library, and the contract says, "No charge shall be made for admission to any program or meeting." The guy that's handling my program application says that I can't take donations either, since that is a charge. I'd like to argue otherwise, but maybe it's peer pressure or ethics that forces people to donate...

On the other hand, Wal-Mart accepts donations for the Salvation Army during Christmas time, and they definately aren't admission...

You've all heard of the young man who put his life on the line to rescue 52 kids off of a school bus that was just yards away from falling into the Mississippi.

He has been overwhelmed with fame and good fortune which I think he deserves(he was offered a full scholarship to a college in California), but he is a quiet guy who just doesn't like a lot of attention.

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
Mr. Hernandez was not available to comment on the offer; Ms. Schwartz said he left town for northern Minnesota late on Friday, overwhelmed by the attention and concerned that his co-workers were being overlooked. He spent the weekend fishing. When President Bush’s staff contacted him to request a photo opportunity, “He was just, like, ‘Nope,’ ” she said.

The Republicans said this week "The Iraq war may go on for another 15 to 25 years". By that time we will have over 25,000 dead troops and then we will assess the war and if need be go another 15 to 25 years. I ask all here....are the Republicans on the right track?

Anyone who has had an OCONUS military move that knows about the financial allotments? I read somewhere about one that allots for a house hunting trip in your new location. The depth of an OCONUS move is so deep that I feel overwhelmed with all the information. Just having a hard time weeding through everything. It would be really nice if I could take a trip there first to try to find off post housing. Thanks in advance for any help.

It has nothing to do with attacking sovereign nations, because Bush has already done that very thing. And as far as going into that area in Pakistan that even Pakistani military wont go is BS because we could have gotten Bin Laden with a sniper and special forces.

"Islam is a load of ancient monotheistic crap meant to control people"-most liberals, including ME.

What's the disconnection here?

I heard about this local case today on the news.
The police pull over a driver at 1ish in the morning for speeding.
The officer notices a strong smell of "intoxicants" (NOTE: That's what they said; "intoxicants", but there is nothing to suggest it's anything more than the smell of alcohol), and does the sobriety tests including the breathalyzer.
After the tests, everyone agrees that the driver was NOT legally drunk. He was close, but NOT legally drunk.
So he ends up pleading guilty to negligent driving, and is sentenced to 40 hours of community service, has to attend alcohol and drug abuse classes, and has to attend some kind of meeting with victims of drunk driving.
My question is this: why should this driver have to do ANYTHING but pay for a damn speeding ticket?
What is the purpose of setting legal limits for drunk driving if the legal system can ignore them, and punish drivers who have not surpassed those limits?

Gone are the days of doing what is right BECAUSE it is right and damn the consequence's. Today, elected officals are more concerned with their political self life and how they can spin events to benefit themselves.

Please settle an argument. My bf, who has experience in these matters, says that no one wants one. Fair enough, that's not the argument though. He says the soldiers that get one are stupid. They weren't doing what they were suppossed to otherwise they wouldn't have been injured. They have failed the mission. They did something wrong. They're idiots. I find that preposterous.
Thoughts?

Ok, so I know a couple people asked this already, but I figured I'd ask again since it's situation specific.

Can I get my military id renewed if:
-my dad is retired army
-I'm a 21 year old college student
-I'm still listed as a dependent
-my old id has been expired for 2 years

If I can get it renewed still, is there a website or anything where I can check locations/times to get it renewed and get a number to make an appointment?

The valuable resources that Bush is wasting that I am talking about is our men and women.

I think everyone realizes that Iraq has nothing to do with liberation...because it is obvious that Saddam needed to control like he did so Iraqis would be controlled and not kill each other like they are now. It also has nothing to do with our freedoms either because there were no Al qaida there BEFORE we went in.

Apparently, penmanship practice for schoolchildren at the Newlands Primary School includes pledging allegiance to the Muslim god:

August 06, 2007

ANGRY parents have blasted a teacher for telling ten-year-olds to copy a Muslim prayer saying “There is no God but Allah”.

Helen Green is said to have picked the Muslim call to prayer as HAND-WRITING practice.

It includes the lines “Allah is the greatest” and “I bear witness that there is no God but Allah”.

Pupil Billy Darbyshire’s stepmum Hayley Clayton said: “The explanation was that the children were learning about Islam in RE.

“But this was like he was taking an oath. A Muslim child would never be asked to write a Bible passage.

“Why didn’t she choose a passage from a normal story book to teach handwriting?”

Imagine Muslim students being asked to copy Bible passages. The erosion of Western civilization by leftwing moonbats infesting Education could not be more obvious
