For many weeks Hillary Clinton has led the pack. Recently she has pulled further out in front. She is getting the support of the most powerful leaders in some of our biggest states. Rudy seems to be slipping.
The Republicans seem to be where the Democrats are at this time in an election process. It is chaotic. Too many people running and not enough support behind any one candidate. The candidate that is getting the high powered support and all the money may not actually be the best candidate but the most popular, sort of.
I suggest that the final contest will be between Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Rodam Clinton and Clinton will win, if not by a landslide but by a very comfortable margin. More seats will go to the Democrats in both houses of Congress too.

The president will be the one who garners the most Electoral College votes. It's way too early to tell who the winner will be. There is still 15 months left for the candidates to make wrong moves.
I'm not a die hard Republican so don't take this the wrong way all you hard core liberals. I never liked Clinton. I'm from Arkansas and knew about his antics long before Monica inhaled. I didn't think Bush had a chance in 2000. I hoped Kerry wouldn't win in 2004. Frankly I haven't had a candidate I could really get behind since Ronald Reagan.
I'd vote for a GOOD Conservative (or even moderate) Democrat. But I don't think Joe Biden will get the nomination. But if the Democrats nominate Hillary I'm voting for the other guy.

Too soon to tell! It typicaly comes down to the final 2 and then some people will try to vote "the lesser of two evils"! LOL
I've chosen the Candidate for the Oval Office without err since 1980 (for better or worse). This upcoming Presidential Election looks like it's going to be a "tougher choice" than most.
p.s. for some political quizes links go to my profile, or discussion groups email me. (hopefully, y'all will have some for me as well)

Hillary's already been appointed. Ask any lobbyist. She'll be declared winner in the same fashion as Bush beat Gore in 2000, but the popular vote spread will be even bigger.
See electronic voting security in California articles. This time it will be Arkansas and New York instead of Florida.
I for one would love to see a Balkanized election in 2008. I'd like to see a lot of big name independents on both sides. Let's see how the House handles that.

I believe Fred Thompson will win. A poll was done today showing he has 68% of the male vote.
"Thompson, the former Tennessee senator and tough-guy actor on television's "Law and Order," gets 68 percent of his support from males as he edges toward a run for the GOP presidential nomination, far more than other hopefuls, according to recent Associated Press-Ipsos polling. While he and front-runner Rudy Giuliani each draw nearly a quarter of the Republican male vote, he significantly trails his chief rivals among women."
That's a whole lot of people and that alone is enough to win an election.

Joe Biden.
I think it will be Joe Biden because people will eventually get tired of the frontrunners for many different reasons and Joe Biden is a good speaker at debates and they will then pay more attention to him and support him and then the democrats are almost guaranteed winning the election.

I want Obama to win but I think it might be Romney.
Presidential elections are popularity contests by and large and Hillary's lack of popularity concerns me.

I don't think any Repug stands a chance...These foul examples of humanity have already disinherited any claim to civilization much less public office. Their lies and oppressions have caused the American populace to have such a bad taste in their mouths that this political party won't see a comeback for years. HOORAY!!! These Ogres of society have alienated themselves from common decency and compassion for so long their own callousness and greed has brought on their own damnation in the eyes of the public and Almighty God.

I believe that Fred Thompson will end up winning. If Rudy ends up being his running mate, that should place him right over the top.
Contrary to what many on this site will end up saying, I don't think that Hillary will remain a front runner once the campaigning really begins to gain momentum.
