Right now Iraq is dominating political coverage. This is probably what Bush prefers to national attention being focused on his crimes.

One million patriotic Americans have signed petitions calling for impeachment of Bush and/or Cheney.

Impeachment and withdrawal from Iraq seem intertwined. What do you think? Do we need to withdraw from Iraq before we can impeach Bush/Cheney, or do we need to impeach these criminals before we can withdraw from Iraq?

"Brussels - Men must take on more household chores for their pay differential over women to disappear, the European Union's employment chief said on Wednesday in an appeal to all males in the bloc.

The European Commission said in a report that women in the 27-nation EU earned 15 percent less than men, measured by gross hourly wages, against 17 percent in 1995, showing little progress on indirect sexual discrimination in the job market."

A better solution- bloody run our economies properly and stop wasting money on government spending (especially immigrant welfare and bullshite EU bureaucracy and travel junkets) raising inflation and allow us to survive without the NECESSITY of dual incomes?

Your thoughts? Typical Frankish limp-wristed socialism?

Is history now showing us that Saddam was a Genius? He's appears to be the only guy who could get 3 different muslim cultures (Sunni, Shiite, and Kurd) to live in one country with some semblence of peace? Albeit, he has to kill and rape a few hundred thousand to achieve this..... bring in a strongman tyrant to take over this mess!

I know I hate it when a wack-job extreme right-winger disgraces our party . And I'd like to know in detail how it makes you feel when one of the left's wack-jobs spews stupidity .

I'd also like to point-out that none of the Republican candidates are far right-wingers . In fact they all have a little baggage to carry . So we won't be nominating any far righties cause they aren't any to even choose from . But alas , the Democratic Party does have a candidate or two who pander to the far-left. . . . And I'd like to know how that makes you feel as well .
Thank you .

Since 9/11, there has been no single bigger threat to national security than the intentional leak of an active CIA operative. In a "time of war", no less.

That the persons responsible will go unpunished, while hundreds of people are being held indefinitely as "threats to national security" without specific charges being brought against them, is the height of hypocrisy.

The only solution is a war on healthcare. Healthcare is way to expensive, paying for it with tax dollars wont fix it and will bring us closer to communism. The answer-
a war on it- a complete boycott of all healthcare untill the cost goes down. Yes people will hurt and die- it is a war that will make us hero's to future generations.
Lets not be cowards.

Well, many highly intelligent people on YA agree and it highly refreshing to see the British cynic see the wood for the trees.

Here's an interesting article even New Labour supporters may be intersted in:

http://www.lobster-magazine.co.uk/articles/rrtalk.htm
"the people round Blair are all linked to the United States or the British foreign policy establishment whose chief aim, since Suez, has been to cuddle up to Uncle Sam. This group's orientation is overseas; this is the territory of the Foreign Office and its think tank satellites like the Royal Institute for International Affairs.

"...the source of the tension between socalled Old and New Labour. For who are the Labour Party's traditional constituencies? British domestic manufacturing; and British public sector workers. Old Labour is the domestic economy; New Labour is the overseas British economy- the multinationals, the City of London, & the Foreign Office which represents their interests..."

The Traitor's plot thickens...?

First off, capital gains are already taxed at the corporate level. Stock is a share of a taxable firm. A firm’s shares trade at a multiple of forward earnings. If the Street thinks XYZ will earn $1/share before taxes in the next 12 months, and its P/E is 10, and it is taxed at 35%, then a share of XYZ will trade at $6.50, not $10. If XYZ announces a new contract and now the Street thinks it will earn $1.20 before taxes, the stock doesn’t go up $2/share – it goes up $1.30/share. The gain is already reduced by virtue of the corporate level taxed.

So there shouldn’t be any tax – but there is one, albeit a lower one.

But that lower rate applies only if you’ve held the asset for a year or more. Why?

I think that people who are convicted of heinous murder without a single doubt to their innocence should be dealt with according to their crime?

For example. You have a 14 year old daughter who is abducted, tortured and raped and the killer is arrested. Should'nt you as a parent be given first right as to how the killer will be dealth with? (not to exceed the crime.)
If the killer is found guilty (or pleads guilty) with absolutley no chance that he may be innocent, shouldnt the parent get to torture and kill him in return (if he so chooses to?)

Or perhaps your spouse is murdered during a home robbery. Shouldn't you as a spouse get the right to execute the killer in the same fashion as he chose to murder?

I think if criminals knew that it was leagal to eliminate them the same way they choose to kill innocent people, then they would think twice about some of the crimes they commit.

I hear too many stories of mothers drowning their children, father microwaving their infants.
