Finally. One of the the republican canadates is showing us he can step up so Bush can step down. Now I gotta admit I don't like Romney, He's not evangelical so I don't think I can trust him. But after see how he's all for torture maybe those mormons aren't so bad. He's also for the patriot act, so he know he's a patriot. How can Liberals not like a guy who's willing to sell out all the principles of the civilized world for the last 200 years so he can torture muslims? He embodies the best things about the spanish inquisition. GO ROMNEY!!

On a macro level it appears rather robust with growth at 2.1%.

BUT for medium and small businesses costs are escalating. This is a major worry as these sectors are the most economically robust and provide the greatest employment.
Contrary to all government propaganda- small and medium sioze businesses employ far more people than corporations, contribute far more revenue and are not subsidised anywhere near as heavily

Furthermore, CPI and RPI indexes are higher than the EU, wages are Negative in real growth so far this year (4.0%well below retail price inflation of 4.5%+ in April) + rising food prices reducing income for mortgage. Annual food price inflation reached 6.0% in April, highest in 6 years."

HPI has it 10%, slightly down and we have a new national historic house price high, most especially when expressed as a ration of real earnings.
Interest rates are predicted to rise 0.25% in 2007.

Thus- very unhealthy prospects for all consumer based economy.

Your thoughts?

Is it legal in the state of Washington, or in any other state to use public land to create a private profit?

More specifically, would somebody be able to use a high school's tennis courts for their own private tennis lessons?

Would they have to receive approval from the high school, or from the state, or how would that work?

Why does Obama say this?

Obama says that preventing a potential genocide in Iraq isn't a good enough reason to keep U.S. forces there.

I asked this question before but I have changed my mind. It would be next to impossible to avoid all Mexican products, so how about this? Don't go to Mexico for vacations. Tourism is a big source of revenue for Mexico. But there are many other places to go. Hawaii is one. What do you think?

Neighbor has an easement for getting in and out of his own property and is exclusive to that only. I'm tired of dodging the mail box on my own property, and want it removed. I asked nicely several times to relocate the mailbox. I would have just run it over by now but don't know what is the proper way to handle it. I'm thinking of sending out a bill for $100.00 per month for rental of the space the mailbox is on, which is a bargain compared to what a private mail center would charge for a box as big

I, for many years, have sought to find the answer as to why our Government (U.S.) has never done anything to be independent of oil reserves in the Mid-East, and othe rogue countries. From Pip-Squick Carter to present, the U.S. Government has shied away from anything to do with independency in oil. It results in our paying trillions of dollars for oil in foreign lands and a very large part of that revenue is used to buy weapons to kill Americans and to create havoc in other Democratic governments. What is it that the American Government is attempting to achieve? Is it all money for individuals running the government? Any ideas?

Or will this keep going on forever, as long as we refuse to fight it as a war of annihilation? What I mean is, wars are won by totally crushing your enemies, reducing their strongholds (cities, usually) to utter rubble, like we and the Russians did to Nazi Germany in WW2. Or, with modern day communications, political opinions, etc., have we become too politically correct and meek to do the real nasty, dirty work that total war is? (I don't mean our soldiers are meek, they could do the job if we'd only let them.) But should we just crush the resistance in Iraq, even if it means killings innocent civilians in the process, and then turn and crush the major supporter of terrorism in the Middle east, Iran, the same way? Or do we just get out of Iraq, then sit back and hope we don't have another 9/11?

They do me...

If you say something bad about Bush...you are a liberal wackjob...

If you say something bad abobut that socialist Clinton...you are a conservative freak.

Why are people on the forum so set on you are either A) liberal democrat or B) conservative republican?

Don't people on here realize that there ARE people in this country that don't buy into either parties' line of BS?

Stated or implied strereotypes on Y!A i've seen:

Jobless, Godless, communist, hippies for liberals
Nazis, despotic, hypocrites (both sides), sex offenders for conservatives

Has it gone too far? Does it anger you or make you pity the people that post such things?
