Does this change your thinking?

"Global warming threatens world’s security, existence, Vatican tells U.N."

http://www.catholic.org/international/international_story.php?id=24053

"The Vatican has agreed to become the first entirely carbon neutral sovereign state"

http://globalwarminglife.com/news/economics/the-vatican-to-go-carbon-neutral-20070716171/

Even the Vatican realizes that human-caused global warming is a major threat. Why don't you?

im 20. Im an overseas student from east timor studying RN(registerred nurse) in Australia do you (US residents) think its a good idea for me to go there and live before i get my RN here in Australia and then continue on RN in US (if i can get a visa that is).

Friend told me he had visited US, in New York he said its dangerous at night but mid day is fine. In Los angeles 6 black americans approach him and ask for $5 dollars, he said he dont have it, one f them then said give me $1 dollar, so he gave them some coins that count to $1. He also while in Los angeles his girlfriend was nearly kidnap by a group of guys, she ran and cried to him. He told me Los angeles a no no at night!!

Im damn scared to go there now, lol seriously guns, drugs, poverty seem to be everywhere in USA. In aus you can wander at night pretty safe.

SO should i go to US? which state is better i heard texas is nice, avoid southern states and western states is it true?
thanx again

I bought a camcorder battery from a US web site http://www.global-batteries.com/index.php and I wanted it to be delivered to a canadian address.
Six weeks gone now but not received it. when I inquired them, they say I have entered a wrong canadian zip code and because of that I have not received it. But I contacted canadian post office and they say that they can find the address even without the zip code and will take a little longer. But Global-Batteries says they cant do anything but if I pay another $ 8.00 they can resend another product. But I dont want to do that, as I believe that this is not my mistake.
1. Why Global-Batteries web site accepted zip code if I entered it wrong (I have given a five digits instade the six digit zip code)
2. I entered and paid to a US web site and my credit card has been debited from Hong Kong. Can they do it legally? as I am unaware my credit card details are passed to another country.

Is there any place that I can compain in US gov?

to the South. If a group wanted to sneak into America to blow
something up would they stop them? or would the say, Blow
the gringos up, They don't care about us. Why should we care
what happens to them? What would you do in there place?

bush lies

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=bush+lies&fr=yfp-t-453&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8

23,800,000 results.

Now obviously not all 23 million have evidence, but I'm thinking maybe one does.

Clicking on the second link this comes up,

If it its universally agreed that Congress has the power to declare war, and that the president's role is be the commander of the armed forced to conduct the war, then what is the disconnect about who determines when we undeclare the war (stop our involvement in it)?

Congress not only has the power to declare the war, but they control the money to fund the war and the armed forces.....which means other than directing troop movements or war strategies, congress is the boss of war making, and of the armed forces.

To me, a reasonable assertion is should the ease of undeclaring not be as easy as declaring? Why so easy for congress to make war, but so difficult to stop war? And why the attitude that they are traitors for cutting funds for a war they are stopping? Cutting funds does not mean harming troops, that is just a red herring, cutting funds is a last resort when the president is not listening to the boss of war declaring (congress).

During the school holidays, the traffic level during rush hour drops through the floor. Doesn't it make more sense to discourage parents from driving their little darlings to school instead of charging people for driving, when they've already been taxed on fuel & road fund licence, plus had to pay for an MOT?
Surely a better option would be re-work the way parents choose their child's school. It's ludicrous to have a child attending a school miles from his or her home, and in 20 years of travel I have never come across this in any other country. If there is a disparity in school standards then the government should be addressing this to remove the need to send children to schools miles from home, not charging people for commuting. Does anyone else think children should attend their local schools only? If not, why not?

Presidential candidate Clinton has challenged the Pentagon on military policies and practices. Although senators and congressmen have need for a great amount of national security information they are not privy to everything. The "Need to Know" standard must be met. Clinton has no military experience and very limited knowledge of the military organization and functions. Neither she nor her closest advisor (Bill) has military experience. Soldiers who have seen war first hand, seen soldiers die and felt the pain of the wounded know and respect war best. Do you agree that if she obtains information from the pentagon it will most likely end up twisted into her campaign with potential misinformation and a compromise of controlled information?

A Friend of mine was staying with her baby at my house to get away from her bad realationship. In the morning I was off to work and she was waiting for her mom to come get her. I told her to lock all doors and then go out the back locking it behind her. Well a week went by and I went to use my laptop it was missing. Came to find out her mom never picked her up. One of the girls I work with and her thug boyfriend came to get her. My friend says they only came in to help her gather her things and bring them to the car, (this gave him the perfect chance to easily grab to laptop on the way out to the car without being seen. When I approached my co-worker of her theiving boyfriend she1st denied it. I told her I had it video ( which I didn't) The next day she wrote me a note saying I was right, she saw my laptop yesterday at his house, but she wants nothing to do with it. I don't know where he lives exactly except it is a good 45min drive. Weeks have gone by, How do I prove he did

I am pursuing a career in law enforcement and am in college. My goal would be to one day be in the FBI or DEA, but I want a job as a police officer first. I know i have to take lie detector test and that worries me. In high school I used to steal (more than 1 or 2 things), smoke pot (more than 1 or 2 times), do criminal damage (more than 1 or 2 times) and drink underage. I stopped the stealing and smoking around 11th grade, but the underage drinking continued until i was 21. I also never had a great work history. I've straightened my life out alot since high school. I have always had good grades, leadship, sports, etc. my whole life, though. I just did some stupid **** on the side for a while. Will these things cost me a job in most police depts and eventually the FBI/DEA, or will they take into consideration that I was young and everybod does stupid **** in high school?

Surely, when one country thinks it's OK to send 'agents' to another, for the purpose of committing murder and causing mayhem, then that country should be placed beyond the pale, and should be shunned until they admit the error of their ways and apologise for their actions.
You only have to look at the problems caused by certain middle-eastern countries who harbour and sponsor terrorism for their own ends - and don't bring religion into it - it has nothing to do with religion and all to do with power!

Okay so I posted a bulletin on myspace today talking about how ridiculous Bush's speech today regarding Iraq was. I got the following response:

"wtf are u talking about....hes the GREATEST president we have ever had...you should really think twice about posting bulletins about the war because its a VERY touchy subject to some people and your probably going to offend half of the people on your friends list just by saying **** like what you said....and i am offended bc i have family and my boyfriend and best friend over there."

Well then. So many things that I want to say are rushing through my head right now. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how I should go about responding to this.
