It seems to me that people are attempting to justify abortion by saying that life doesn't begin at conception.

I think abortion is like capital punishment. Occasionally necessary, legally sanctioned taking of a life.

Maybe she like her husband will cut funding and cripple our armed forces so our enemies will attack us, therefore bringing a new reality to war on the homefront? We will be attacked again and it will eventually be alot worse than 911. Hopefully their will be a new value placed on national security before a stronger country than ours takes us over and enslaves all of the US citizens. Go ahead and vote for Hillary. Do they really have such a difficult time understanding the larger issue which is that the "War on drugs" is a failure. Prohibition is not working and it has never worked at any time in history. This is not to say that drugs are not interdicted and criminals are not jailed, but rather that these efforts have not reduced drug supplies or drug dependence in the country.

This says that black people are imprisoned at 5 time the rate of white people. Which, to me means that they commit 5 times more crime, right?

Not according to this guy. According to this guy, it is simply because America is racist, and we unfairly put more black people in jail.

In other words, the very violent inner city, which is predominately black, is no more dangerous than the mainly white suburbs, correct?

Am I the only one that finds this idiotic?

There is a conflict of interest - the president is supposed to protect the country, but evangelicals believe mass destruction will precede the rapture. Therefore they would be happy if a major city was destroyed or a neuclear bomb detonated. I beleive this alone is reason to ban evangelicals from the presidency. Do you agree?

I watched some lawyers debate the case against Vick . Along with the evidence of removing 66 dogs from his property , there are also 4 eyewitnesses willing to testify . And the D.A. has more . One of the lawyers intimated that she has an inside source saying there's other damning evidence . Innocent until proven guilty yes. . . .but no doubt the future don't look too bright for Vick .
Nike has 'suspended' their new Vick line as a result .
Sen. Byrd has made it a political topic .

Or do we just keep throwing more and more people in prison for non violent drug offenses? I know a lot of people in law enforcement NEVER want to see an end to the war on drugs, since the confiscation of 'ill gotten gains' from drug suspects (some of whom are never actually convicted of a crime, but still lose their property and money) enriches police departments?
Or should we just legalize drugs, like they were legal 100 years ago, and instead spend the money we now use to incarcerate drug addicts on treatment for their addiction instead? Unless we turn into a total police state (and we're rapidly heading there now) we'll NEVER be able to legislate the behavior of people. I don't know about you, but I'd rather live in a society that tolerates and tries to help and treat drug addicts than a society that puts them up against the wall and shoots them. Or throws them in prison for years for non violent offenses. How about you?
