When our founders went to represent us in congress, they came with a specific job to do ...did it...and went home.

Shouldn't congress be limited to two terms like the presidency?

Davey Crockett hated the congress and served only to push through the important issues of his day. He then went back west ( Kentucky) and said it was "too crowded" there and went even farther West to Texas. Remember the Alamo.

if that's the case - that they're "harmless" (finding a rocket launcher in one's front yard is a sign that our country is secure from terrorist threats afterall - right Bushbot Contards?)

and since rocket launchers are so benign - I would like to acquire one - or some - where can I do so? does E-Bay have a Rocket Launcher marketplace?

I got into a car wreck on 3/2005. I was uninsured at the time. I hit a BMW and got sued later. He was claiming up to 80k. But as the case with most insurance claims he milked it. I was going to fight it in court but too be honest it was too stressful. I know i didnt hit this guy hard. and hes claiming he was injured and stuff (Bogus). But in the end me and his personal lawyer made a deal that i would sign a paper taking the fault for not having insurance. It resulted in his Insucrance company AIG sending me to the DMV and suspending me for a year. There thing was if I didnt have cash then take the suspension. So ive been suspended for about a year now. I had been left alone for the whole year. Ive been proving that im insured to the DMV. I work at a bank and dont make enough money. So I'm struggling to pay my bills. But i was getting there. But Yesterday I got a letter from AIG. Asking me to pay As i said above I dont have enough cash to pay. Is there a way around this? Please Help Me

Those like Ted Kennedy, Charles Schumer, Strom Thurman. They have been in the senate for decades...and won't give it a break.

I think 2 terms should be the limit like with the president.

It should be a service not a career.

I have several. People pass me and flip me off all the time? When I park it on campus at least 2 times a week someone will come up and "Wow, you are ONE deluded Bush loving Nazi Facist arn't you". I just giggle and brush them off.

My Bumper Stickers are;

Bush/Cheney 2004 - Peace Through Superior Firepower

On my window I have an American Flaq a Yellow Ribbon and a NRA decal.

Why do people get so worked up over my freedom of expression?

Oh gees Cheney automatically becomes President for a few hours while Bush is under. I think that's enough time for him to nuke a country or two.

As hate crime assailants are probably non-sexual (i.e. eunuchs) does the sexual leanings of the basher have to be proven in Court.

Does a homophobic victim have to prove that the different sexual preferences is the agenda item? In my case it was the other way around, as I as a hetereo was attacked. But still a hate crime!

Ive noticed more and more in the united states today, that we are losing our freedoms. But, as its already known, anarchy only works for a short time. Somalia being a perfect example, with no working government, Its a haven for killers, physically, and hatred, mentally. In the US, With this state, its a haven for MENTAL killers, and PHYSICAL hatred.

Is balance possible?

The latest AP and other mainstream polls have found that the leading Republican presidential candidate is "none of the above." According to the related Associated Press report, "More Republicans have become apathetic about their options over the past month," during which time the number of those polled who are indecisive has jumped from 14 to 23 percent.

I'm guessing that "none of the above" is actually a guy by the name of Ron Paul.

That’s right, the candidate who’s cultivated widespread grassroots support – he relies primarily on speaking engagements, appearances on counter-culture television shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and Internet resources like Facebook, MySpace, and Meetup to get his message out – is still struggling for inclusion in many traditional public opinion surveys. After all, how well can you be expected to poll when even pollsters in your home state refuse to include your name?

well just curious about this specific law
well say hypothetically a guy did crime X and that crime has a statute of limitations of say 5 years but then then next week a law was passed saying there is no more statute of limitations for that crime.
so im wondering does the guy no longer have the statute of limitations for that crime or does he still have the 5 year?
thanks in advance

It seems like every conservative post is filled with insults by liberals. While liberal posts do get some smashing, there are alot more positive replies.

Is this because the answer board is dominated by liberals?

A lot of politicians are saying that there is a very high chance we will be attacked soon, including Bush Aides and ex-republicans. Thom Hartmann said that if Al Qaeda doesn't attack in the near future, an attacked will be fabricated, and others warn that another attack will scare Americans into allowing a police state where our leaders can rule with Martial Law. Do you think it is possible that this will be the future of America?

1.Everyday Liberals on TV, in the Newspapers, or on this site are always demanding the withdrawal of American Troops from Iraq. In the same breath they talk about how we should send Troops Dufar. Why is the Civil War in Dufar more important than stopping the Sectarian violence in Iraq?

(The reason why it is sectarian violence in Iraq is because it mostly revenges of the Shiites to the Sunnis for the years they we persecuted under Saddam, and vice versa. Dufar is a Civil War because one group, or actually tribe, is trying to take over the whole government.)

2.I read daily on this site where people are saying the President is taking away Constitutional Rights. Please cite specific examples on how you are less free now than you were before September 11?

(Also if you do not have any examples of how it has affected you directly, please talk about what all Constitutional Rights were taken from American Citizens during the American Civil War by President Lincoln.)

Thank you

Methamphetamine causes more dopamine and serotonin to be released by the brain than, sex, heroin, nicotine, and chocolate combined. This fact alone is responsible for its almost instantaneous addiction. It’s also nearly impossible to recover from since the brain has to learn again how to release those chemicals on its own, meaning you simply won’t be able to feel pleasure of any kind for a long time while you recover. It is estimated that 80% of Portland, OR’s crime is in some way, Meth related.

This stuff is vile.

Do you think the US and mainly the producers of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, (Sudafed) have done enough, or can do anymore to stop this drug?

Do you think the war on drugs and the prohibition or safer recreational drugs creates a market for cheap and extremely dangerous drugs like Meth, Crack, Ketamine and Ecstasy?

I just went through SIX different phone calls with Tricare and my issues has still not been resolved. All I want is an appointment for an injury I just had while on vacation. How hard can a simple referal authorization be!!!!! I have had nothing but trouble with Tricare. I am convinced that they purposely make things so difficult so that the patient will just give up and suffer through just so that Tricare can save a dime. I pay into this insurance every month and they SUCK!!!!

I just received an email saying:
===
In one of his most chilling moves to date against his own citizens, the American War Leader has issued a sweeping order this week outlawing all forms of protest against the Iraq war.
===
It went on to list amended acts and to say that it was passed into law July 17th.

I tried to find a news story on this and could not. Does anyone have any background information on this?
