You vote them out.
It's pretty simple.
The Founding Fathers wisely did not term-limit Congress.
And if you think senators don't lose; well, ask those who lost last year. They beg to differ.
Lastly, if you don't like Ted Kennedy, for example, move to MA and work to elect someone else. If you don't live in MA, you have absolutely no say in what the voters of that state decide.

You get out, organize people, and vote them out. You might have to move to the state that they are in, and live there for a while, in order to vote for them, but you could do it in one lifetime maybe.
Oh, and BTW, Charles Schumer has only been a Senator since 1999. That would make this only his second term, since Senators serve six year terms.
BTW -- Why does your list only name Democrats?
I would say the same for Orrin Hatch, Trent Lott, Chuck Hagel, and John McCain (especially Mc Cain) to mention a few.

you recognize, that's an identical verbal substitute I had at artwork the day previously right this moment with the individuals around me. And we've been all on an identical internet site in this one. in keeping with the place you want to assert this difficulty began, deregulation, sub-top mortgages, and so on, you are able to hint it lower back to the two occasion. yet, even on condition that, the two events have sat on their collective thumbs and watched this unfolding in our united states. no one is greater at fault than the contributors of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and city Affairs who threw all human beings yet themselves below the bus the different morning. you're appalled, Mr. Dodd? you have been in this committee for 22 years, Mr. Shelby? you recognize not something approximately finance considering which you're a dirt farmer, Mr. Johnson? human beings would desire to have informed YOU there have been issues? those human beings disgust me. How stupid do they actually think of the yank human beings are? those are the individuals, if everyone, who would desire to have a draw close on the financial well being of this united states. And yet they declare to properly known not something? The finger pointing would not get us nywhere. we want people who will unquestionably act, not communicate, as quickly as we are dealing with a disaster in this united states. i'm worried approximately vote casting maximum of the individuals of them out of place of work. There are some respectable lawmakers, in basic terms some distance too few to certainly be observed.

If you don't live in Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy isn't supposed to represent you. He represents the people of his state, and they seem to like him because they keep sending him back. If you don't like it, tough. Whine all you want.
P.S. We got rid of Strom - he died a few years ago. Glad you're really on top of things. You're certainly correct in saying that he doesn't represent you though.

Well if the folks in their home states would stop voting for them they wouldn't continue to be elected. Yes there should be term limits and they should have to retire on Social Security like the rest of the country....

Hey, we're the ones who let them make it a career. If they're from your state and you don't like them, campaign for the other guy next time (if you think he is better), or get involved in your party and help influence who they put forward to run.
And, of course, don't forget to vote.

Vote for someone else next term.
But you only get to vote for the people from your state or district, because those are the only ones that represent you. The others represent someone else.
