Seems more voters like a younger candidate as opposed to older candidate. This was not the case years and years ago. But, now society seems like the "good looking, youthful" President.

Of course there is, to a point, you don't want a guy in a wheelchair (though that has happened). You also want experience and a record however, and some of the younger candidates either have flipfloppy records, or very little experience.

Reagan was a tremendously popular president, and was quite old. JFK was a tremendously popular president - and the youngest ever to win the office.

(Oh, and FDR was in a wheelchair - he mostly hid it, but he was a victim of polio).

(believe it or not, based on the present president!)
