Many do fight against it.
Look up the Covenant Marriage options being considered by many states, and being advocated by many religious groups. It would eliminate no-fault divorce, and almost entirely divorce of any kind.
Fortunately, so far, groups promoting this concept are willing to make it voluntary, rather than mandatory. Which is fine.

Official stance of the church is to support the abolition of divorce, not just no fault.

The requesting spouse may be making life miserable for the person they want to leave.
No fault divorces should be required to have both parties attend three months of counseling prior to it going to court. The parties would have to split the cost.
