David,
Two wrongs never made a right...and laws still say that murder is punishable by prison-time and/or death.
Members of the KKK or any other hate groups will get their punishments in due time.
Nothing goes unnoticed in this world and what comes around will always go around...if not here, in the after life.
Hate is not the answer for hate.
Instead, find something more positive that you can make a difference in this world for.
Let the "higher power" of this world handle those who hate...He can do more damage to them than you could ever try. And He will get away with it. You won't.
Keep your slate clean. Or you will be placed on the same block as they are.
Love frees the soul.

Since all citizens of the United States of America are equal in the eyes of the law, the pool of jury members would not be limited by their views on the KKK.

While countries may go to war and kill one another for conflicting religious beliefs, political differences, or simply a difference of opinion, there is no justification you can offer for committing such a crime that will allow you to walk free unless you are tried by a jury of like thinking individuals which is unlikely in today's society.

Sense when has the courts EVER had jury of your peers? Never have I seen a jury that was actually a jury of peers.

Yup, the CBC made sure one KKK member who killed two men 44 years ago got jail time for it finally and bravo to them.

Violence IS NEVER the answer to anything. And I don't care how long it takes to get the man/woman to see justice done.

Yes. Even though a lot of people would sympathize with the murders ideology, a prosecutor would point out that murder is murder, and he'd go to jail. It isn't asked whether or not jurors think the defendat should go to jail, but if jurors think the defendant is guilty of the crime that he is accused (in this instance, murder).

we could always take out Senator Bird and find out

no seriously if a jury ruled for a murderer just because they didn't like the person killed its the judges job to take over and pronounce judgement

Of course they would! The jury may despise the murdered person, but that doesn't mean that they will allow whoever is committing the murders to go unpunished.

Yes they would go to jail. A jury of your peers does not mean they agree with murder.

Yes they would. The assumption is they are caught killing another person. Disagreeing with someone's political beliefs doesn't give you the right to kill them. Our justice system has many flaws but it works the vast majority of the time.
