I'm with you! God save me from the extremes. It doesn't matter who they are or what they back. Political parties or religious groups.
I'm not a red or blue person and neither is the state where I live. And I doubt anyone else is either. We're a mix. So why don't people think of us as maybe Purple.
There are some things I'll tend to be liberal about and others I'm more conservative on.
Our election system isn't helping either. If you register with one party you can't vote for a candidate you like in the primaries of the other party.
And our Electoral College is winner takes all so the possibility of a GOOD third party rising up to force moderation is slim to none.
Here's to more moderation. I'll drink to that! But only in moderation.

I'm sooo far left, I'm outside of the political spectrum circle.
I don't believe you've met any REAL far far far left people. I just think you've ran into the crazy over zealous Democrats ;-)
I'm an Anarchist my friend, "Anarchism" look it up, and don't believe the hype in the main stream left or right. There are many kinds, including nonviolent, not all Anarchist believe in "the propaganda of the deed".
But yes left and right people get on my nerves. If they took a closer look, they would find that they have stuff in common, just they have different reasoning for it that's all. Like the Free Trade Agreement, Righty people don't like it because they are racist, Lefty people don't like it because they think it unfairly exploits the poor colored people of the world (which is racist too in a way). See, how they are SOooo alike and fighting for the same exact thing?!?! Exactly. Yet, they're too blind to make this connection themselves and stay fractured, and thus will have a harder time achieving their goal. What morons.

One thing I have learned in my life is that extremists have a negative impact on society. If we were to follow through on the majority of either of their policies the U.S. would be in chaos. To me it's not an issue of left vs. right, but of right vs. wrong!

Yes they do, I like being a moderate in the middle, sort of like Hillary Clinton's voting record.

From where I sit, living in Canada, the most left-wing mainstream American politician looks pretty right-wing. The neoconservatives in charge of the White House and their supporters look positively scary.

You are correct, but what fun would that be? If you're not making enemies, perhaps you're not trying hard enough.
