Will they be satisfied when the terrorists converge on Iraq and make it a hotbed for terrorist activity, ultimately culminating into another attack on the U.S. on its own soil? What will they do then?

R-You claim that the war is feeding the fire of terrorism. Have you forgotten that 9/11 was unprovoked? Or do you believe it was a govenment conspiracy?

Blame Bush, and attempt to embrace those that seek to harm us. Perhaps a group hug around the quran?

Al Queda is now just as strong as it was pre-911. This was reported a few days ago in case you missed it. The original point of this war was to stop production and possible usage of weapons of mass destruction. There were none. There are terrorist hotbeds all over the middle east and in areas where there is no American occupation. Our resources are being misdirected and our military is being spread thin by a strategy that is flawed and failing miserably. We obviously shouldn't just completely leave the mess that we are partially responsible for in Iraq, but an exit strategy needs to be put into action immediately so that we can focus our attention on plausible and legitimate solutions to strengthening our security. If anything this war has severely tarnished our image in the eyes of the world and made us less secure than we were before it began.
It has undoubtedly fueled the resolve and hatred of those who already hated us to begin with. The war in Iraq was started on false intelligence (supposedly) and has been a mismanaged nightmare that continues to be made worse by the poor choices our leaders are making.
I am neither a Republicrat Or a Democan btw.

And why would the terrorist converge on Iraq? Most already have their safe havens in other countries (like Al Queda in Pakistan). There is, and has been, a civil war going on in Iraq ever since the overthrow of Saddam. I doubt if that will change greatly with or without US troops. More likely than not another strong handed dictator will take control of the military and with backing from some country (like the US backed Saddam when he initially came to power). I have not seen one Dem plan that called for a complete pullout of US troops. It seems they realize that the mess created by Bush in Iraq will force the US to keep troops there for many years to come to protect our bases and the US oil companies interests.

Bush's attorney what a novel name, if we pull out of Iraq to day after a civil war ,Iraq will be an Islamic state, 3,600 plus KIAs ,if we pull out of Iraq in 18 months, there will be a civil war, Iraq will become an Islamic state, 7000 US troops KIAs,
Bush got use into a war we can not win, all the Iraqi's have to is hold out until the American public demands that our troops come home, same as in Vietnam. While Bush is pu**yfooting around in Iraq ,Afghanistan is going to end up in a new all out war. He has not been trying to win that war, He lost in Iraq and now if he does not put more troops in Afghanistan , we are going to lose there also, What an Idiot!!

lol so once we pull out THEN it will become a hotbed for terrorist.

Im not sure if you watch the news, but if you dont, its already a hotbed for terrorist, Baghdad is basically just a big training ground for them. With this war we sent them back hundreds of year. Also, another attack is eventually going to happen, havent you grasped the "forever looming threat of terrorism"?

If he havent heard iraq is a hot bed for terrorist right now and they werent before we got there. Al-Qaeda has grown bakc to its pre 9-11 strength which means we havent done much to stop an attack on our soil anyway.

To answer your question. It doesnt matter if we leave now or 10 years from now the day we leave its going to be chaos because it is impossible to stop the Sunni and Shiite to stop the war they have been fighting against each other for 1500 years using our military.

None of the democrats really would pull us completely out of Iraq. There goal is to end the war before 2009 so what ever happens can be blamed on Bush. If the war is still going on when the next president takes office, any troop withdrawals or draw downs will be in name only. The Dems know very well, they cannot really risk a terror-filled Iraq.

The Iraqi insurgency will turn their attention to Al-Aqaida as they hate them just as much as the so called coalition...This is one of the biggest misunderstandings of war supporters...
That FIGHTING IN Iraq is not going to defeat terrorism regardless if America is able to take control of of a very complicated situation

LMAO. I can't believe you bought that! We have encouraged terror to the point where Al-Qeada is up to pre-Sept 11th numbers. The war has been a great boost to terror recruitment. We may have destroyed their training camps, but we are giving them live fire training against their enemy in Iraq.

Edit: I believe that 9/11 was unprovoked. I also believe that Iraq, if was supposed to meet the goals that we were presented with should not have an outcome that involves increased recruitment for terror. It should have REDUCED the number of terror recruits.

Well......I hate to say this cause I know the rash of s*** I am going to get but......

That was one good thing about Saddam in power in Iraq, there were no terrorist there. He did not allow them in his country. So who's fault is it they are there now???
Saddam was no threat to us, Bin Laden was. But for some unknown reason, Bin Laden still walks...hmmmm???? don't it make you wonder why?

When the US withdraws, Iraq will probably divide itself into 3 countries - Kurd, Shiite and Sunni.

A lot better than the current situation.
