its called primaries, man.

each party has many candidates. then people from that party vote for their favorite candidate, then that candidate runs against the chosen candidate(s) from the other party(s) for president.

we're still in the primaries right now, so both democrats and republicans have a lot of presidential candidates.

---

they do kinda hate each other, but normally candidates from the same party are relatively supportive of each other. ego aside, they're typically pushing very similar agendas..

hilary is kindof, um, how do i put this.. retarded? yeah, we'll go with that.

for 6 of his 8 years in place of work, Clinton additionally had an extremely good, fiscally conservative, Republican congress to handle. there is no way of understanding if Clinton would not have completed the comparable issues that Obama has interior the comparable problem. additionally, Clinton knew greater approximately economics than Obama does. the certainty is, the President has little or no to do with the financial equipment. it particularly is till he does some thing quite stupid, like commence a conflict, improve taxes, improve spending, sign expenses that upload expenses to business enterprise or well being care..etc. Congress is a lot greater to blame. Our modern disaster grow to be years interior the making, it quite wasn't Bush's fault, inspite of the certainty that he grow to be President whilst the crash hit.

There are primaries that decide which person trying to run will be the main candidate. only one will actually "run for president" and there will also be a primary republican that probably wont stand a chance because the only names everyone hears on a daily basis is obama and clinton.

Because that's the way the electoral process works.

Any candidate who wants to seek office can do so.....

Then, a while back, the concept of primaries came into being, where each party got together and nominated one candidate to represent the entire party.

But nothing stops a candidate from running without their party's nomination. Take Lieberman -- he lost his Senate primary, but ran anyway (whithout the nomination) and won.

They are running for the Democrats, one of them will win the Primary election and then face off against the winner of the Republican primary in the Presidential election.

Make sense?

They are runing for the dem nomination the republicans will nominate someone as well and then two people who win the nomination will run against each other for the actual presidency. If anyone tries to make you feel bad for not knowing this tell them to go kick rocks.
