If you ever go to one of the National Parks or National Monuments, you will see for yourself what a great job NPS has been doing.
I have visited a lot of National Parks and can tell you they are just incredible, and not only because of their natural beauty.
What I admire most is trails being classified by level of difficulty, which means even a very beginning, out of shape person has a chance of finding something. In Grand Tetons
I even saw wheel-accessible trails.
You have a lot of ranger-conducted activities, you get a lot of help in Information Office, and let me tell you rangers are the mosty friendly, helpful folk you will ever meet.
And did I mention annual NP pass? Super-discounted visitor pass that allows you to enter as many National Parks, as many times you want.
I cannot imagine why anybody would complain about NPS. Well, maybe those who prefer to spend their time in shopping malls and consider natural resources a waste of their tax money.
Be proud of America's National Parks and cherish them!
