I am in Texas. I was hit by a driver in Dec. of 2004. Car was a total wreck, my mom & I were forced into therapy. Immediately the insurance company (Fred Loya) tried to settle for $100. They were very persistent, but we told them to wait until we were done with our medical bills to settle the claim (this is a legal right). A few months later, we finished physical therapy and submitted the final bills to them. They stalled and stalled and stalled. We called and called and called. We asked for superviors. We asked for managers. All of them gave me some kind of run-around. TO make a long story short, this went on for over 2 years and now the VP of claims says verbally - "sorry, statute of limitations is up & law says we don't owe you anything." I can prove I sent them everything and I have call logs to show that I kept calling them. THEY stalled, not me. Texas attorneys or insurance experts: Any advice on what i can do?

In Pennsylvania, "they" want to impose a 100% Porn Tax.

Although porn is an adult activity, it does not necessarily mean it is a sin, worthy of a "sin tax", especially 100%

Porn can be a picture, video, music and literature.

Where one person may view porn as vulgar, another may view it as entertainment, or even art.

So how do they draw the line? Some novels are porn. Some magazines have porno pictures, and some women's magazines even have descriptive articles (than even men find offensive to a degree).

Will cable TV and Satellite radio have some sort of porn tax? The library too? You can't tax one, and not the other. In the USA, media (no matter what form) is supposed to fall under free speech, thus not being liable for a tax, mainly magazines and books.

Then again, Pennsylvannia (PA) is known for overtaxing anything they can slip by the people. Look at the casinos in PA, they already spent the money from the profits, even before the casinos were built. ...so greedy..

Ths afternoon, my sister took her two sons, ages 7 and 8, and her daughter, 1, to the school which is adjacent to her back yard so the boys could play basketball. while they were playing, my sister was chasing the baby as she toddled around. at some point, a middle aged man drove up and started playing basketball with my nephews instead of on the other court. my sister noticed almost immediately that he ws there. as she approached the basketball court she could hear that he was asking them a lot of questions like their names, ages, if they were brothers, etc. he was also calling them by name and complementing their basketball playing. when he saw her approaching, he asked if she was their sister. (trying to flatter her maybe?) she told them it was time to go home and he said something along the lines of "aww, cmon mom let them stay and play". she got his license plate. her husband is away this week and she's not sure if he saw where their house was when they went home.

I just read a previous question that was under a different area. I am HOPING it was because it was under womens studies that it had all the answers it had, but I thought maybe I would give it a shot here! I am SHOCKED!

Should women have to register to be drafted?

I would say NO! I think they should have the CHOICE. They have children. I have 3 babies and I can not imagine having to go shoot a gun which I have never done before, nor do I have any desire too ! I am not against guns (I am a proud republican!) but I just couldnt do it!

People who claim women are not weaker... YES WE ARE. Women are emotional thinkers. Things go through our thought process much differently then a mans. Men are rational thinkers (for the most part) and just think to get the job done. We are naturally weaker physically. I am sure SOME women are stronger then SOME men, but generally, I am NOT going to win a arm wrestling match with any man !

I dont get this. Please people, help my faith in mankind!

Crowley, a building contractor, ordered 500 bags of cement from Litvak Building Supply. It was agreed taht Litvak would deliver to a building site and title would pass when delivery was made. Before the bags of cement could be loaded on a delivery truck, a train derailment destroyed much of the supply company's inventory.

My question yes or no.

1. Must Crowley bear the loss and recover damages from the railroad?

2. Is the requirement of delivery to a building site a condition precedent?

3. Did title to the bags of cement pass at the time the order was placed?

Liberals and Democrats are a relatively small minority in the military. In 1997, conservatives in the military outnumbered liberals 23 to 1, up from 4 to 1 in 1976. Only 3% of "senior military officers" were "somewhat liberal" at the time.[19] A 2003 survey by the Military Times found that "military considers itself clearly more conservative and Republican." According to the survey, 57% of active military personal identified as Republican, compared to roughly one third of the general population. Two out of three military officiers were Republican.

No wonder liberals don't have respect for this country, they obviously won't fight for it.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Instead of attempting to deport or keep out all the Mexicans who are coming to America.... why don't we just make them citizens? The most common complaint I hear is that they make money here without paying taxes. If they were citizens, wouldn't they be on record as being required to pay taxes just like anyone else?

I plan to go to graduate school and study law, but if I want to enter politics eventually, what law would be best to study? Not only do I love studying government but I love studying chemistry as well, so I have always considered becoming a chemical patent attorney. Would my transition into politics be significantly easier if I studied constitutional law or some other type of law instead? If so, what type of law? Thanks for your help!

Ok I know what you're thinking.Gee Spazz what are ya up to now? Well my friends I got kinda bored & I decided to do some research on what the majority of Americans want to do about illegal immigration. And I found these polls. The majority of them say that most Americans want some sort of legalization IF illegals learn English, pay taxes, and have been here for a few years.I would have even more but I excluded any polls from Latino based sites.

Ok I know what you're gonna say next.
"You used biased polls from La Raza!!!!"
NO I got my polls from sites like Angus-Reid ,who also has polls that say most Americans want English as our official language[totally agree]

OR you'll say
"Well how come we defeated the amnesty bill? 80% of Americans hated it."
Well for starters 46% of Americans disproved of the bill & 15% of the 46 thought the bill was too harsh on illegals.Plus the bill got a lot of bad press in the news by senators that don't even know the meaning of amnesty.
