you mean Barak HUSSEIN Obama. He is the creation of the liberal left wing media...and has NO EXPERIENCE to be president or even dog catcher for that matter.

He wouldn't have an original thought if a bird pooped it on his head. He is just spouting the views of his left wing whacko supporters.

They want to make sure 5 year olds know how to properly install a condom on a cucumber.

Man, most of you guys just read or listen to a soundbite that the news media feed you instead of actually take the time to read/listen to the whole story. No wonder people are so easy to control.

1. Its "age appropriate". Meaning no "this is a penis and this is a vagina etc" type of talk. Its better than the alternative story of storks delivering babies.
2. It is opt-out. In other words optional along with parents permission.
3. The idea isn't Obama's to begin with anyway. He's just agreeing what his 2004 GOP opponent Allan Keyes said before.
4. Would you rather have the television or movies teach your children about sex? Considering how reluctant parents are talking to their children about sex, the TV or the Internet turns out to be the most likely place a child first gets to learn about sex.

I wish Nicole would have put her question in some kind of context. She starts out saying Obama is 'nuts'. Right away we have a problem. Are we suppose to argue that he's not nuts, or to consider the approprate time, place and manner to discuss the bird and the bees with children? All education, even sex is age appropriate or it's supposed to be. I'm sure the senator is aware of that. I wish I knew exactly what her objection is....all I got out of her post was an insult and what's probably disinformation. Too bad!

Why exactly is this any concern of Barak Obama's. This, I believe has always been left up to the parents to educate their children on such matters.

Don't take me wrong when I say this, but I understand in Texas the schools only get the funding if they only teach abstinence. They can't talk about safe sex, contraceptives, the pill, or show how to use a condom properly via visual using a banana.

So he must be looking for more funding for the schools. Or does he just want to freak out the next sets of generations.

Yes he is nuts. He is also a racist by playing up a false media story on the 4th. that a guy had a knife when it was in his car and was here with an international lic. but is goons used it to get air time and he went to jail fro 3 days when the SS detail and the Lt. of th police said this guy did not one thing wrong. But all on the left for Obamantion are trying to spin this. Ben Smith of the politico.com ran it correct.

So Yes this sounds in line for Obamantion Barrack Hussein the drop out of Sharia school. Want you need to know is Mohamed took a wife that was 6 years old and the Turks raped men women and children during the genocide of 1913-25. And this is ok under their standards. He is makeing the Imams happy and showing us what he has planed for us infidels. You should have caught Glenn Beck tonight as they told what the drive by media will not tell you and I. We have to get the truth where we can. What they did to those children in Russia is what I said above and they are planing this here. Obama is telling us what is in store boys and girls.
He and the left are sick and nuts. Also check out memeritv.org for the truth.

No he is not nuts, it should not be the teachers job its should be the parents. If any parent has not talked to their 5/6 yr. old about sex WAKE UP! its real and they need to know if someone touch them its WRONG. As far as education about it maybe 3rd grade, but parents yes early as possible.

Well let's look at the other extreme from the cons. Is NEVER too late to teach the kids about sex? Just ignore it, maybe it will go away. Now that's a responsible decision.

The word is - "age appropriate" - duh-h-h
Some children, at home, are [shown] about sex-eduaction. Of course, there are always those creeps in any part of our society - it is something worth researching more, however.
Wouldn't it be refreshing if our children were taught that it is okay NOT to be touched, inappropriately? And, that "yours" is different than "mine" is not a secretive, bad thing - it just is.

I know I am asking a lot of all you doubters up there claiming Barak never said that, but - make an effort ,read a paper, listen to the news once in a while. You would be surprised how much stuff you can find out.

You forgot two very important words in your question....'age appropriate'.

As a society we have left this kind of informative teaching to our children because too many parents are 1) Embarrassed about talking about sex with their children. 2) Refusing to educate safety to their children because it conflicts with their 'chosen' religious beliefs.
3) Sadly some are so unconcerned with their responsibilities they don't take any time with their children to teach them anything.

This is age appropriate education trying to prevent pedophilia and harm to children!
