... simply let your local government (state) decide whether or not to socialize medicine?

Why is Washington trying to get involved with something that states can handle?

(California and Mass are already dealing with the issue)

I am. And I had no idea that Ray Charles was this big of a patriot either - I mean I knew he was proud, but this is astounding!

Do something about all the cameras watching our every move, everywhere you look in this country is a camera, it beyond a joke. We should join forces to get rid of them.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. My kid and his friends had a band concert at a pavilion at a public park (all the bands were comprised of kids in their school.) They decided to charge enough to pay to rent the pavilion. My kid collected at the door, and got cited for a Summary Offense (no profit events permitted in the park). Rather than tell me, he just pled guilty and paid the citation thinking that it was like a parking ticket. He is majoring in prepharmacy-premed. I see that a Summary Offense is less than a misdemeanor, but is still a criminal offense. Could this affect his ability to get licensed in the future? We live in PA, but he wants to relocate to another state.

Every where on answers it's "illegal mexican".Why?Why not illegal Honduranian or illegal Guatamalan Or illegal dominican republican?Does their latino skin color automatically label them as mexican?Isn't that a bit presumptuous?

What about those dark skinned Honduranians that look black or the Dominicans with dark skin? You'd see them on the street and never classify them.Because they don't fit the typical "mexican"look?Did you know there are white skinned mexicans also?Blonde hair and blue eyes. They could all be illegal, but they wouldn't be accused and put down soley by the way they look. But let a brown skinned woman with black hair stand in the food stamp line and there'd people go,calling her another government cheating illegal mexican.Or worse,a *******,which is what they are called where I live.It wouldn't matter if she was born here ,along with the last 5 generations of her family. She could have more american roots than you or I,but no one would care, cause she lokks mexican.Sad.

Hello there, I am 21 and about to go off to Cranwell, where I want to become a Supply Officer.

I have always wanted the soldiering life but have bad eyesight so have had to do the best I can with Supply. However I am now aware that our wars are no longer fought for Queen and country but rather greedy politicians, and that the wars at the moment have little bearing on the people on the UK.

Were I to give up the RAF in 6 years and get a job on civvy street, I want to have had the time of my life. I do not want innocent blood on my hands, or even that of men just trying to defend their own country. But I want to have a soldier's life.

I am tearing up inside- what should I do?

Thanks for all serious answers

Why do thinking people ever vote Labour?

They are worse than useless they are criminally negligent.

"Violent crime in the three months to the end of June increased by 6% on the same period last year, according to quarterly Home Office figures."

12% rise in drugs possessions.
trafficking people for sexual exploitation (up 30%)
sexual grooming (up 36%),
1,035,046 violent incidents against the person, excluding sexual offences and robberies.
gun crime was up 6%

In 2004, Labour presided over a "12% jump in violent crime over the past year and a 1% rise in crime overall, according to their latest figures"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/3914289.stm

Accounting for Labour's goal-post shifting, violent crime has risen 19+%?

Home Office claimed the 5% rise in violent crime was not statistically significant.

BBC quotes 7% but Guardian quotes 5%.
I wonder why.

What a fecking cheek. Punish Labour scum at the polls.
