I suggest we send them 20,000,000 hard working people who would like to improve their lives. It would help if they spoke the language of the country so they could understand each other. Anybody know where we could find anything like that here in the USA? It would help if the USA didn't really need or want them.

Mexico needs to step up to the plate and begin fixing thier own problems. The government, military, and police have an unfortunately long history of being rife with corruption. There is very little economic investment in the north, where most illegal immigrants originiate--even the infrastructure is woefully inadequate.
What is a real shame is that Mexcio was the dominant power in the northern hemisphere until about 1850. What happened?

Here's the thing.
I am not against helping Mexico. They are a neighbor and their wealthy surely seem unwilling to do anything at all for their working folks.
However, it is OUR schools and hospitals failing and closing due to mass immigration above any rational quota. One thing that really pissed me off about the 'disconnect' on the Senate Bill was that there was TONS of money and commitments to increase medical and educational services to MEXICO but NOTHING to help our schools here.
I'd rather we helped both than spend what we are spending on Iraq, but I don't see us ever getting the funding domestically, and the problem under the Senate Bill would have increased.
Have a different bill that stops the problem, and helps OUR schools and hospitals (in more than a 'token' way) and I have no problem helping Mexico.

The reason Mexico is a large source of illegal immigrants is because its a nation with great economic disparities.
We cannot solve Mexico's problems. The Mexican people need to crack down on corruption, implement market friendly economic policies, and improve their education system. We cannot do these things for Mexico, but they can do them for themselves.

I think Mexicans need to be more proactive about improving their living conditions! They should revolt, overthrow the idiots currently running their country into the ground and elect new leaders who actually care and will work to make Mexico a place that no one wants to leave!

Mexico is not our problem We can't help people who aren't going to come together and fight for themselves or else it'll be very similar to our Iraq situation. We need to start enforcing our current laws. Punish the employers who hire them, close the borders, and stop giving entitlement programs to illegal aliens.

a huge reason for the corruption in Mexico is the United States insatiable appetite for illegal drugs. Make them legal and the power of the cartel is no longer there, and their influence on the government, police, military, etc. is diminished immensely. In that way, we are Mexico's problem.
