Isn't it great that we canjust shift blame around, have no accountability, and sink further as a country? ISn't that what we blame the politicians for? Mayeb WE THE PEOPLE could set an example for politicians, by doing something to improve our country...donate time or money to Habitat for Humanity, write letters to politicians and judges when we disagree with decisions, not vote along party lines, etc...so, are you willing to do your part? Or are you happy complaining about people doing the same exact things you do...?

Does Bush himself need to bring Air Force 1 to the 'soon-to-be' destroyed areas to force the people to leave?

Wouldn't it be cool to ride in the President's plane?

I started a business I am good at and can beat the prices offered by my competition because he's a greedy son of a *****. He is a civic leader though no one cares for him. He is taking flyers and pamphlets down that my staff has put up in public areas, including some he owns. He is spreading gossip and has sought legal action prohibiting legal work on some of these properties. In short, he is an asshole. I am trying to get my business off the ground and this man has a vendetta. Are there any legal recourses against him or resources to raise capital in what may be a legal right to work issue?

Isn't it clear to everyone by now that the right wing neocons chose Bush as a candidate because he's not that smart and they knew he could be manipulated to do their bidding for them (Iraq is the perfect case study for this)?

For many years I have heard feminist members say that they wanted to fight for equality for women. However at times I believe their only goal is to fight against inequality against women. I have never heard them fight against issues in which men are discriminated such as divorce, child custody, and the criminal justice system.

A friend has an ongoing problem with a stalker "ex". In the past, everytime she has tried to have the police handle this guy, she has run into nothing but problems because his dad is a cop. the guy goes to jail and is out with no record of anything ever happening. This cop then turns around and has created false marks on her record leading to arrest and incarceration all based on his false reports - blatant abuse of power. this cop has gone as far as threatening her family in order ot extort a house form her to give to his son. This cop seems untouchable without making her fear for her life. Does anyone know what can be done against this cop in this situation?.. I worry for her.....

Thompson rented a 1990 Red Ford Pick-up truck to drive through the small rural county Sevier, TN to campaign.

"Here is Michelle Cottle describing a Thompson campaign event a couple of years later when he was running for reelection:

Seated in the audience is a childhood friend of mine....My friend stands talking with her colleagues as the senator is driven away by a blond, all-American staffer. A few minutes later, my friend gets into her car to head home. As she pulls up to the stop sign at the parking lot exit, rolling up to the intersection is Senator Thompson, now behind the wheel of a sweet silver luxury sedan. He gives my friend a slight nod as he drives past. Turning onto the main road, my friend passes the school's small, side parking area. Lo and behold: There sits the abandoned red pickup, along with the all-American staffer.
Basically, he just drove the thing the final few hundred feet before each campaign event, and then ditched it for something nicer"

Why would I want to thank some law breaker that just by being here is lowering the wages for the hard working Americans? I'll share a true story with you, this just happened yesterday and it's an honest to god true story. My husband came home telling me that two guys from his work are leaving because they got called by their former employer yesterday who offered them a $5/hr raise to quit their jobs and work for him again. Those two guys are plasterers, the reason they quit for the guy they were working for was because he refused to pay them a descent wage, he told them either earn as much as the Mexicans or go somewhere else, so they did. Now that the new passed the new law here in Arizona, employers are canning their illegals left and right. Don't tell me they keep the costs down because they don't. They are a tool for cheap employers (ever heard of the rich get richer?).

"I can't do this Sam"
"I know, its all wrong by rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. Its like in the great stories Mr.Frodo the ones that really mattered, full of darkness and danger they were and sometimes you wouldn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy, how could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened. But in the end its only a passing thing. this shadow. even darkness must pass. A new day will come And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you that meant something even if you were too small to understand why but I think Mr.Frodo I do understand I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back but they didn't, they kept going because they were holding on to something"
"What are we holding on to Sam?"
"That there some good in this world Mr.Frodo and its worth fighting for."

I don't see the rationale there....

How do you excuse one bad deed by mentioning another bad deed committed by another person ?

By that logic, all the guilty are innocent by virtue of someone elses guilt ? So if everyone is guilty of something, then nobody is guilty of anything, and nobody should ever be held accountable ?

On the issue of commuting Libby's sentence..it seems the only defense being presented for Bush, is that "Clinton pardoned people !".....that just doesn't make any sense to me. If Bush lies about something, we get more of the same...."Clinton lied about Monica !"

Seems we have alot of die hard conservatives that need to grow up.
