First of all Al Gore's son has not been convicted of anything yet. If he were I would not expect anyone to pardon him. The reason "liberals" and all other thinking humans are pissed is because Scooter was convicted of a crime. A crime that not only endangered a CIA agent but could have had disastrous effect on our Intelligence community.

For the President to then come back and say that 3 years was too harsh a sentence is completely ridiculous.

Got it!

Apples and oranges. One does not change another. These are two separate and very different circumstances. In the Scooter Libby case, the president is halping a loyal operative that basically fell on his sword to protect the reputation of the administration. It is the same thing tha Reagan did for the Iran-Contra plotters.

No. Al Gore's son needs help and sometimes the only way to get help is to sit in the slammer for a while.

Scooter Libby should sit in the slammer as well because he lied to investigators. Period.

When giving pardons, commutation sentences the question that one must ask is who will benefit from it? If the answer for Bush was not ME. Then who? Society didn't. You see Nelson Mandela deserved a pardon but please...cronyism is obvious here.

Is this supposed to be funny? What Libby did was put the lives of people in jeopardy, not to mention our national security. You think having a little pot qualifies as an equal crime? Wake up.
