I don't understand my country anymore. Our government lies to us, over and over, they’re slowly stripping us of our civil liberties, spying on us, but nobody really seems willing to take any action on the subject. Bush told a lie that's killed thousands, and wounded thousands more, and that's fine. Clinton lied about oral sex and impeachment charges were filed. A good majority of the republicans running for president don't believe in evolution, a scientific fact that's been proven over, and over again. How can we call ourselves the land of the free, and home of the brave when our rights our constantly stripped, and nobodies brave enough to stand up for them?

Once arch enemies now Russians have the President serving them Lobster and giving them Boat Rides.

Has Osama addopted the famous divide and conquer method Nikita Khruschev bragged about. You might recall his famous Iowa speech when he sat on a John Deere tractor and cried We will Bury you. Or Nikita's UN speech pounding his shoe on the lectern.

Now I am wondering how many RedsStater Jihadist will join forces with AlQaeda to post divisive anti Western questions..

It was completetly his fault. I have a $1000.00 deductable. My insurance company was going to bill him for the 1st $500, and I made plans with him to collect the ADDITIONAL $500 from him in person. I did that today, and then found out his insurance policy was not in effect the day we got in the accient (which is ILLEGAL here in Michigan) He did not get a ticket for it however. I am now threatening to tell the police that his insurance was not in effect that day. Will the police do anything about it at this point? Does that threat hold water?

Last night I sat and watched more than one political show in which the main discussion was the Clinton pardons vs. the Bush commutation and the Clinton's comments on Bush's action. Talk about being between a rock and hard place. Sen. Clinton, especially, was not going to be able to avoid answering questions about Libby. What was she supposed to say? "Hey I think it was a fine decision" or "It was wrong of Bush to commute Libby's sentence." Either way she's nailed to the wall. Did anyone really expect her to throw her husband under the bus? A "no comment" would have been just as deadly for her.

Don't get me wrong, Clinton made some highly questionable decisions about pardons, and he was roundly criticized for it at the time. Now it's Bush's turn.

How do you think Sen. Clinton should have handled it, realistically? What are your thoughts on this?

I read all of your comments and thanks. i have been talking to his mom a lot. i told her yesterday that i didn't know why he was not writing but maybe he did not want to be with me anymore. and she said he asked about me in his last letter and said he was going to write. i don't understand why he would write home and say he was going to write me, and not just do it. i thought for awhile that i was not receiving his letters, maybe it was lost, since the last letter was saying he loves me so much, etc. but i don't think he's writing. if he hadn't received a letter from his girlfriend in 3 weeks, then he should write home or to me and say why haven't i written just like i did to him. he has enough time to write 3 or 4 letters home in the last 3 weeks, so i think he should at least write me once and say he's busy so i know everything's okay. that makes me feel like either he doesn't care about me or he just thinks he can come back and say i was busy, sorry. that's not fair.

Then of course there is fairness. Liberals can not seem to talk for more than two minutes without the word fair popping up. Apparently Liberals really want everything to be fair. But their version of what is and is not fair seems to be a bit skewed to many people.

Certainly fairness in taxation amounts to soaking the taxpayer depending on how much they earn. Liberals oppose all tax codes, which would truly be fair. Flat taxes, where everyone pays the same rate? Liberals do not like those. Consumption taxes, where again everyone is taxed in a balanced fashion? Liberals dislike that system as well.

In fact, the only "fair" tax code to liberals appears to be one which punishes success, and takes way too much of Americans hard earned money and places it in the hands of government.

First all the entertainers will probably fly in on private jets. All the people attending will be driving there. There will be concessions like hamburgers and hotdogs. Lets not forget the processing of meat was found to be the worst cause of Global Warming according to the IECC. None of the lighting will be compact flourescent and the trash left behind will be bad.
But go Earth I guess.
