No. The war won't end quickly just because Bush is out of office. Everyone in politics knows that is not possible. Of course they will say anything to get your vote at this point, but they will not pull out of Iraq. Not even the liberals would do it if put in office. They talk to discredit the president, not because they would do anything different at this point.

The war will be over when it's over. Think that sounds silly? How smart do you think your question sounds? Don't kid yourselves by thinking that the war will magically be over when a different President steps into the Oval Office. The main reason that wont happen, aside from the fact that that is la la thinking, is that the American public wants to be victorious. People in general support the troops and are beginning to realize that in order to truly support the troops you can't then turn around and oppose the war they are fighting. Of course the war will still be going on when Bush leaves his post, and of course the war will end under another Commander In Chief's reign. But it wont be BECAUSE Bush left office. It will be over when it's over.

I think bush is going to be king for a long time to come, he will start a conflict with Iran, and he will again use his executive privileges to stay in power for the good of the nation. and of course this will come straight from god's mouth to his ears. we get what we deserve, those of us who voted for him and those of us who stood by and did nothing and said nothing while this administration destroyed our nation, never before in our history has our nation been so divide, oh except once and that started the civil war! which may not be a bad Idea, because now that all we do is call each other names and distort the truths to fit our private agenda's, we the people no longer exist, it is now we the corporations, and not what is best for the people, it is now what is best for the corporate bottom line. Bush may leave office but his affects on this country will be around for a long time.

I think that the next president will make a real effort to get us out of Iraq.
Once Bush is out of office, I suspect we might get a little more U.N. support to help stabilize Iraq. Bush's policies have pretty much isolated us from the U.N. and left us holding the bag.

Honestly, the war will never end. If we pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan it just leaves the door open for them to come and attack on American Soil. Everyone just has to get used to the fact that we will be engaged in a state of war for the unforeseeable future against terrorists.

Perhaps the war in Iraq, although even that is doubtful. The war on terrorism will go on for much longer.

The war will end when the politicians keep their nose out of it and let the Military Commanders do their job, if the politicians kept their nose out right from the beginning, the whole thing would be wrapped up by now

Well, it can't go on forever.
We do know for certain when Bush will leave office. But we do not know what the policy of his replacement will be.
But to answer your question, I like your answer. Give it a year.
I like your question, you want honest opinions, not a fight or name calling contest.

No. In spite of what the presidential candidates say, these terrorists will not stop trying to murder or terrorize us just because we want peace at any cost.
