What is happening to my country? I love U.S.A. but I am horrified at what might become of the land of the free. I had a buddy of mine who is strong right winger tell me the other day in a conversation that he would surrender his civil rights if it meant getting the bad guys (al quaida) out of our country.
NOOOO!!!!
Someone please tell me that he is just a nut and that Americans in general still believe in freedom and unalienable rights.

Watch this documentary that points out how bad Moore cuts and pastes his butchered politically left-wing driven agenda documentaries, and tell me you still think he represents an honest and truthful view.

A member of my family is an employee and works out at the YMCA. While she was in the locker room, she was getting putting her lotion on and preparing to get dressed. An employee who is a teen "camp counselor" walked into the womens locker room and stood there and watched her. When she looked up she saw that he was standing there looking at her and screamed. Other women were in the locker room said that they heard a mans voice and that he said something right after she screamed (she didnt hear him) According to her, the staff almost seemed ike they were trying to cover up for this kid, her boss said that he has to look into it and hear the kids side of the story first. The kid said that he was looking in there for a child that belongs to his camp group (right.) she does not know what to do, who to call, but she says that if they dont fire him she cant work there anymore. She says she feels violated and uncomfortable especially with him there. Any thoughts on this matter? legal or other?

After being arrested and handcuffed the police ask you to sign a consent to search your house, no miranda warning was given or signed. My Attorney says it is an illegal search and seizure. He says asking you any question even to sign a search consent is illegal with no miranda. Do you agree?

When in the final hours of his Presidency, Bill Clinton fully pardoned over 140 people?

Or how about in 1999 when he pardoned 16 members of the terrorist group FALN, who set off 120 bombs in NYC?

Bush hasn't pardoned Libby, just commuted his sentence. He knows Libby is guilty and hasn't offered a full pardon. Libby still has to pay $250,000 in fines for his guilt.

I am left on the political spectrum, radical left. But this quesion is open to all. I feel like supportes of the war may not have a clear, rational understanding of the objectives of the war. Is it just military domination and suppression/ How will the hatred of the west, and its policies be alleviated.. just by crushing force? Because it seems that this will just breed more animosity.

Conservatives and liberals alike... what does an end to this war look like?

And if you say "to bring democracy" i challenge you with the historical record which clearly indicates that US policy is not concerned with real democracy. We support regimes which are undemocratic, but serve our interests. We overthrow democratically elected governments if they dont open up their resources to our crporations dominating their economy. The record on this is clear, and if you want to challenge this historic reality, come with evidence, homies........ Peace.
