Joe is a Dem in label only.
I know Joe personally from many years ago when I lived in CT.
Even been to a few of his families "gatherings" back in the day when he was a "rookie" politician.
Joe has always been a very conservative guy, one of the most conservative Dems I ever knew.
But it always showed up more when anything dealt with Israel.
I'm telling you, he will go to lengths to defend Israel, no matter what the cost. Honorable? Sure, to a point. But at the expense of your fellow countrymen? I'd have to say "no".
And I've had one on one discussions with him on this matter.
Joe's a decent guy, don't get me wrong, but as I've told him, his heart drives him too far at times.
In Joe's eyes, Israel can do no wrong and muslims can do no right. It's a very dangerous thought process for a politician and honestly it's what stopped me from voting for him as VP in 2000.
Bottom line is Joe is a conservative and as you've seen, he'll run on whatever ticket he thinks will get him elected. Expect him to officially change parties if he thinks it'll keep him in D.C. He's done it once, he'll do it again.

Senator Lieberman again proves why he is one of the most honorable men in DC by standing by his convictions and looking our for the good of the US over the ramblings of his party's new controller's the radical left. He beat the wing last November and 2008 will again show he knows what is right for this country.

Lieberman is pro Israel. The GOP supports the war in a part of the world where Israel is threatened. Therefore Joe Lieberman is pro whoever is pro war against those who are against Israel.

Unlike most democrats, Leiberman has shown guts and reason in these difficult times. He is not a liberal sheep.
