How do you feel about a one world government? I personally think it would be a step in human advancement but it has been associated as a bad thing due to these conspiracy nuts. Humans started off in small groups then tribes, then city-states then nations, isn't a one world government the next step?

We are all humans and we all exist on the same planet. Don't you just think it would look hurrendous and embarrising if we made contact with another intelligent race and we are all still warring against each other in our small nations?

I can't keep up. In the 50' they were communists, in the 60's they were LIBERALS, in the 70's they advocated the SOCIALIST policies of Europe and NOW they want to be called progressives. Whatever they want to be called they all sound alike!

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler

(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)

"Many of you are well enough off that [President Bush's] tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to have to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
(Hillary Clinton 6/28/2004)

This would have left Al Gore as President, who could have run as incumbant for 2 more terms.

I am a conservative. I make no secret of this, nor do I have any shame as a result of it. However, just because I am conservative on most issues, it does not mean that I agree with all conservative ideas. Why do we make the assumption that speaking out for your predominant views mean that your embrace the whole ideology in lockstep fashion? This statement is applied equally to both liberals and conservatives.

If you HAVE seen it, I want to know what exactly makes you against universal health care (if you are against it). There is obviously a problem with our health care system and those who refuse to acknowledge that fact are just plain ignorant.

For example, I have medical bills I can't pay and that I haven't been able to pay for over 2 years that's ruining my credit. One of my best friends had to declare bankruptcy because her medical bills and prescriptions were costing her too much. My stepfather (who has insurance) has had to have surgery on his back 4 times because he has a plate in his spine that keeps falling out of place.

Surely you can't think our health care system is in good shape, so how can you still justify it? (I'm not trying to be mean or political, I'm just very upset that we can't all be entitled to the same care when it seems almost every other civilized country is having major success with it.)

made it to cross the atlantic in 1492? have you seen the 3 caravelles replicas? they are so small and unsteady that only with Gods will could they have crossed the atlantic. How about the Boston tea party? And later freeing of America from the well organised war savy british forces. At the hands of a few war untrained and badly armed peasants? Was it all a miracle that out of nowhere suddenly as if by magic practically single handely America won the II W W on two distinct fronts. And catapulted as the world most powerful nation. South Korea is striving, while north Korea is starving. Vietnam is desparetly tryng to win the grace of America, or they will starve too. Apparently not a single American Soldier died in those lands in vain considering the results.Ten or fifteen years from now terrorism will be history, and the free people of the middle east and of Asia will be thankful to America. I think God had to want it that way. What do you make of all these?

Many people say it's only a small % of Muslims who become terrorists. The fact remains that Islam can be interpreted in such a way to sway some followers to murder innocent people in God's name.
To dismiss the fact is like saying cancer only kills a small % of people so there's no reason to eradicate the disease.
Islam is producing cold-blooded murderers of innocent people. How much longer will the world tolerate this? How much longer before the world starts to hold Islam accountable and demand it change its beliefs or be eradicated like a disease?

I believe Rudy will win in 2008 because he has most of New York backing him and New York has a great deal of Electoral College votes. He gained a tremendous amount of respect on 9/11. I personally could imagine Mitt Romney being his vice-president.

Wouldn't you feel a bit safer if the person who committed a crime against you was apprehended? Like bin ladin for instance as he plotted 9/11. He is the real threat not some civil war in iraq that is costing us billions.

If you look at Bush's approval rating in NYC it is very low. But if you look in the south it's a lot higher. You would think it would be higher in NYC because of 911 where people were directly affected. How come people thousands of miles away have such a dissenting view of the people the attack really affected. No one from the South lost anyone in the attack. How can they be so Pro Bush and Pro war when they didn't loose anyone close to them. The South doesn't have to worry about terror only big cities do.
