Supporters of Israel complain vehemently about desecration of synagogues by Palestinians, for example ones in Gaza (http://www.honestreporting.com/articles/45884734/critiques/Synagogue_Desecrations.asp). Yet it seems that Israel conducted wholesale, state-sponsored eradication of mosques in 1948 and subsequently. (This in addition to the eradication of the Palestinian inhabitants of pre-1948 Israel). Could those who objected to the destruction of the Gaza synagogues built since 1967 outside the territory of Israel (illegal under international law), please explain why they find it acceptable for Israel to destroy hundreds of mosques, some of them over 1000 years old?

We blow about $1 TRILLION a year sending our military around the world to fight wars and wait at bases... to fight wars. We've got over 700 bases in foreign countries!

Why?

A TRILLION DOLLARS is roughly $3300 for every man, woman, child and baby in America. Which would you rather have? American soliders dying in foreign lands? Or $3300 in your pocket every year?

My name is John Taylor and I started working nights as a security guard about a month ago. About a week in a half into the job I was patroling the parking lot and all of a sudden I received a headache due to the studying and stressing earlier in the day. My car was in the area so I stopped by and got an asprin.

A few second later I received a call on my walkie talkie to come the office. I arrived and the supervior asked me how long have I been a security guard? I was thinking that is not a normal question. I asked him to state what he had to say and not beat around the bush.

He stated not to go to the vechile and I explained why and he did not want to hear it and advised that I need to call the office if I was doing something other than work. I said that he was being to harsh but I accepted it.

I had two scheduled days off and when I arrived back the same supervisor had a female friend on the property and he looked at me and I looked at him and I saw guilt on his face becuase he knew what I was thinking.

This lady friend of his was on the property on five or more times. I finally asked hime why he get to violated the company policy by brining unauthorized people on the property but I could not go to my car to get an asprin? He stated he had time on the job and can do what he want. I stated that is not right as he can not have a standard for me and he another one and violate the policy.

He got defensive and stated he did not want to talk about. I stated he is not right. He responded as of right now you are off duty and to go home.

This was at the beginning of the shift. I lost eight hours of pay and I believed this is retaliation and abuse of power. I did nonthing wrong but state he violated the policy.

Do I have a case under EEOC retaliation policy?

Thank You

John Taylor

two questions here that do not relate but any answer on either one will be helpful:

1) i heard somewhere long time ago that if you are in military and want to buy a house you dont have to put a downpayment? is that right or BS?

2) how long does it take for a serviceman to move up the ranks? example from E-3 to E-4 or E-5 to E-6? is it based on performance/skill or just after certain months you move up?

PS. sorry for these questions am not in military; just trying to learn more before i go in :-)

HELENA, Mont. - If a record-breaking heat wave doesn't lift soon, cattle rancher Sharon McDonald may see her hay crop turn to dust. Oppressive temperatures eased a bit Friday in some parts of the West, but McDonald's central Montana ranch baked under triple-digit heat. Forecasters reported little relief in the days ahead, saying the weather system that brought the high temperatures could last well into next week.

In Montana, where cattle outnumber residents by more than 2 to 1, livestock and people sought shade and drought-weary farmers watched for damage to grain.

"We are trying to get our hay up before it disintegrates," said McDonald, a rancher near Melville. "It just gets crispy and just falls apart."

Extreme heat plagued much of Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Oregon and Washington state.

If you listen closely to the rap lyrics, the rappers talk about livin in poverty and it gets in these young children's mind that they must live in poverty to become the "big dawgs". Also these people rap about being "Thugs" and raping women and using the N-Word. Now Rapping is pushing the Civil Rights stuff back many years except the rappers are in the place where the whites were. I am not being racist but blacks have been committing more and more hate crimes towards whites ever since this type of trash became popular. It tells young children to not get an education and instead rule a gang. What kind of blasphemy is this? Martin Luther King Jr. is rolling in his grave for this along with the other African Americans that fought for African Americans to go to schools and be great people. This is degrading to a proud race. Martin Luther King did not fight for Civil Rights only so African Americans can own gangs and riot in our streets. Its a sad era in the African American history book!

Rap is more of a disgrace than Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin!!!

I know I will get a lot of heat and hate mail for this comment so if you want to send hate mail to me, I will expect it!!!

We all know how aggressive , deadly and powerful the terrorists are since 9/11.Now after the attacks recently on UK certainly make us realise this time round they are back again to do more damage. Most of us are now living in fear as no one knows what and where will thier next moves and targets. My friends and I apparently are more careful when we travel to work.It has indeed affected our daily lives.
Sure, some will say fear not and just continue with our daily routine and never fear them.US President George Bush will know too they(terrorists) will be after him. What plans does the America have and what kind of assurance can US give the americans to make them feel more secure?

His reasons for not wanting to run are so thin and weak, and he breaks tradition by not choosing to run and does his party a great dis-service by dissapointing those who would love to see eight more years of the same thing.

Could he still change his mind and step up to the plate and run, and if so, would that send out the 2004 Republican voters in happy hoardes to the primaries?

Could he still change his mind and cut his planned retirement to Dubai a bit short "?

I'm going to admit it so please don't tell me again, I was stupid, but I just want out. Ok well I was playing with a pair of handcuffs I had. I was going to put them on me for fun. So I put one cuff on the right wrist, but then I remembered, I don't know where the ehy is. The cuff is on pretty snug. It's not too tight, but not loose enough to slide off. I can move it about 2 inches along my wrist and forearm. The other side is dangling free, but what should I do? My parents are asleep, and I don't want to get the cops. The key is no where to be found, I've searched for 2 hours, so please don't tell me to search more. What can I do?

"Suggestions of placing LSD in a city's water supply or having a circle of Yippies levitate the Pentagon were typical"
