it truly is not appropriate what proportion go with him impeached. it may bypass to 50%, or seventy 5%, or ninety 5%. Impeachment is the technique of accusing the president of a criminal offense, and Bush hasn't dedicated an impeachable offense. as nicely, think of of this: If the technique became began day after today, it would take numerous months before it would be performed, assuming that it succeeded. Then there could be a tribulation (in the Senate, i think of), and which would be numerous greater months. If that succeeded, in basic terms then could you do away with the president. it would take 0.5 the relax time left before the election to end it. Democrats could be seen as damaging and divisive, the country could be in turmoil, and the only factor you may accomplish could be to do away with the president possibly a million 365 days in the previous than the term shrink rules. yet you will have President Cheney in the oval place of work. wager you probably did no longer think of of that, did you?

At this point, no.
It's too close to the elections and would overshadow the process.
It would have a disastrous psychological effect on the nation.
It would result in Cheney becoming President. Hardly an improvement.
The time for impeachment is far past. The only option now is to ride out the storm, hopefully with some display of guts (for a change) by the Democrats, and hope for the best.

Basically an impeachment at this time would be far too disruptive...it's never been a good idea...that's why it's only been attempted twice since the Constitution was ratified. Both attemps failed. I don't doubt that Bush should be scooped up and tossed out of office...he's that bad, but then we'd get Cheney and that would be worse. Eighteen more months and this bum is gone...keep the faith...help is on the way!

No, I do not agree, and I am thankfull that the public cannot suddenly decide to impeach a leader and it is done.
I do not like President Bush. I disagree with his policies and he has made the United States weaker because of them. Nevertheless, he has fulfilled his obligations, as he has seen them, as the head Executive and Commander in Chief.
President George W. Bush has committed no "high crimes or misdemeanors."
Do you have any idea what impeachment, a Senate trial, and removal from office would do to this country?
Winston Churchchill once said, "If the present comdemns the past, the future has no hope."
Let's get busy with the future and ignore the stupidity of the past, lest the future, which is coming fast, condemn us.

No, he should not be impeached. It will be non-productive for the country. We will have a hard enough time getting the Dems to do any meaningful work done in Congress without their wasting time and money on an impeachment. If you want to impeache someone how about Reed, Clinton, Kerry, and Pelosi.

Impeachments are a political loser. The parties base gets excited but the rest of the world sees it for the sad little political game that it is.
The Clinton impeachment was mildly off putting to the masses. I think it went down easier because I think a lot of people saw it as payback for Watergate, sort of a necessary adjustment.

Unbelieveable!!! I think his only supporters are the cons who are on Answers all the time. People are upset with the war, but also don't have confidence in his Homeland Security, financial decisions, everything.
I don't know what is wrong with Congress. I certainly would like to see a deep investigation of all of the complaints that could have law-breaking at their base. Maybe they think it is too close to the end of his term, or they are afraid that their own coruptness will come to light. (I'm sure the Bush Brigade is not above "blackmail".)

Lot depends on who they called and how the question was asked. You know, there are questions where you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
If someone asked you if you ever got caught masturbating in the closet, an answer either way can be interpreted however one wanted to .
Get the point?
