The father filed for Custody of his 16 yr old daughter on 4/24/07 due to drugs being found in the mothers home. The mother received the papers on 4/27/07. On 5/1/07 the mother signed for the daughter to marry. They picked up the marriage license on 5/4/07. The daughter came for her normal visit and said nothing. She found out her child support would be paid on 5/9/07. Father already had Joint Legal Custody which requires the mother to at least inform him of any decisions that affect the childs "health, welfare, or education". They did not inform him prior. In fact, the child text the father a message to wish him a Happy Anniversary and then include "Umm me and Jade got married yesterday". Now the Judge is questioning whether he has legal standing to find the mother in contempt of court. He state the child is emancipated and therefore the case is dead in the water. We are arguing that the mother was in contempt prior to the emancipation since she did not inform him prior to.

Let say i knew this girl, and i was with her last night, the next day she goes to the cops saying i raped her, where i clearly did not nor did i also touch her in any way. What would happen to me?

A second scenario is what if, i had sex with a girl age 18+ which it was consensual and the next day she goes to the cops saying i raped her, what would happen to me then?

Can someone answer both my questions, i am just wondering about this.

Much of US favors Bush impeachment: poll
Fri Jul 6, 3:59 PM

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Nearly half of the US public wants President George W. Bush to face impeachment, and even more favor that fate for Vice President **** Cheney, according to a poll out Friday.

The survey by the American Research Group found that 45 percent support the US House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against Bush, with 46 percent opposed, and a 54-40 split in favor when it comes to Cheney.

The study by the private New Hampshire-based ARG canvassed 1,100 Americans by telephone July 3-5 and had an error margin of plus or minus three percentage points. The findings are available on ARG's Internet site.

The White House declined to comment on the poll, the latest bad news for a president who has seen his public opinion standings dragged to record lows by the unpopular war in Iraq.

Like, how speedily are things supposed to move along in those sorts of things? A child was molested for ten years, removed (by the wife/step mother) on Jan 6 of 2006, and there's still no news of a trial, despite the child having already given her deposition. The child's now seventeen, and a trial hasn't been set, but there are rumours it might be around september. She hasn't heard from the police, and neither has the step mother. So, what in the world is going on here? Is it normal for the police to take almost two years to prosecute accused child molesters?

I work in a grocery store and I've had a customer ask me if the marks on a bill from a counterfeit pen ever fade. I honestly never thought about this and I'm curious. Any takers?

What are some good sites? I'll use a $50 prepaid American Express Credit Card (that you can pick up at drug stores like Walmart and CVS) to order from. But what are some good sites. I'm looking mainly for police-quality double locking handcuffs.

Why is it a law to buckle your seatbelt while driving but it is legal for a woman to choose whether or not to have an abortion?

If it is the woman's right to do what she wants with her body, why is it a law to tell her to buckle up?

A bit hypocritical.... but I want to hear other people's points.

Anybody know the answer to this?

Seems to me that what Bush Senior feared was that during the trial of Weinberger his own and Reagan's involvment and knowledge of the Weapons for Iran Jihad-drugs-money-Contras would be exposed in under-oath testimony.

Commuting a small prison term and now considering a full pardon, Prez Bush has shown his contempt for the law and our justice system. I understand that the president has the power to pardon, but this power was not invented for our "leaders" to help their cronies, but rather was available as a last resort, for righting injustices.
Lie upon lie, this president is reaching Clintonesque levels of both incomptitence and falseness!
Should we:
1. Elect a democrat as a knee-jerk reaction
2. Keep dividing up on party lines hoping agaist hope for something better
3. Vote for Indepentants and Independence in '08 and make a real, worthwhile change and put the government back on the leash, where it belongs, serving US!

Forget Al Sharpton and his superficial rhetoric. We now have a candidate in Obama with a clear vision (at least compared to the gang that occupy the White House anyway) and the intellect to lead the country.

So the question is are Americans ready for a black lawyer to be at the helm of power.

And what do you think the 'southern' mindset is about this issue?

I am about to start nursing school. I was thinking after I was done about joining the army to become a PA. I am wondering how this works. Also I am wondering will they pay off my student loans from college before I join the military, then pay for me to go to school, and still give me the GI bill when I am done in the army, because I eventually want to become a doctor. If any one knows about all this, a little insight would be great. Thanks

Every time I get a paycheck the government takes some of my money for taxes. The tax on each pack of cigarettes is almost a buck. Then there's sales tax. I don't own a house yet, but when I do the government will tax that too.

I have to work for my money ... why shouldn't the government have to do the same? They think they can just take it.
