I'm going to admit it so please don't tell me again, I was stupid, but I just want out. Ok well I was playing with a pair of handcuffs I had. I was going to put them on me for fun. So I put one cuff on the right wrist, but then I remembered, I don't know where the ehy is. The cuff is on pretty snug. It's not too tight, but not loose enough to slide off. I can move it about 2 inches along my wrist and forearm. The other side is dangling free, but what should I do? My parents are asleep, and I don't want to get the cops. The key is no where to be found, I've searched for 2 hours, so please don't tell me to search more. What can I do?

Where the single blade (the part that moves ) meets the ratchet teeth you can slip a flat piece of metal (bobby pin) or plastic (comb tooth) between the ratchet teeth and the "Pawl" ( the teeth between the double blade). You have to click it a couple of times to drag the pin in-between the teeth and the pawl. This will lower the pawl and release the single blade, releasing the cuff.
Or you can try to use a bobby pin to pick the lock (MUCH harder).
you have to bend the tip of the bobby pin and press it against the pawl lever inside the key hole to lower the pawl.

if you can't get it to work I would recommend you "double lock" the cuffs so they don't tighten down more.
there should be a small pin on the back side of the cuff that you can press in. some models will have a slide in the middle of the face plate that you have to slide over.
don't do this if you still have hope to get it off because it will make it even harder to pick the lock.

Unless you know a security guard the police may be your only hope. However if you are good with a bobby pin you should be able to trip the latch. You probably don't have a pair of cuffs that law enforcement use that have a tamper proof latch. If a bobby pin (hair pin) doesn't work the arm of a pair of glasses will. Keep moving them around in the lock until it pops open I hope this helps.

Get used to sleeping with handcuffs on. Then tell everybody it is a fashion statement. In a few months maybe you can find a key for it.

If it is a Smith and Wesson then the rachet can be forces with a hair pin from the side. Stay out of the small round hole on the other side. That is how you lock out someone trying to do what you want to do.

try and pick the lock or find a key that is similar to the original (like the keys on a diary)

Use some vaseline...and try to slide out.....or......put your wrist in hot water and try to slide it out....or a combination of the 2.

You can also get a bobby pin and try to pick the lock.

Go to sleep. When you wake up tell your parents what an idiot you are and ask for their help. Sadly, I don't think you have learned anything from this. Maybe next time. Aren't you a little young to be so perverted?
