I don't mind -- if you've got a legal permit, that means you got training and are far less likely to shoot someone, and far more likely to suffer harsh penalties if you abuse that right.

Then again, I'm not necessarily anti-gun. I am, however, very much in favor of requiring gun manufacturers to start installing child safety mechanisms (which would apparently raise the cost of each weapon less than $5). And I'm very much against people using guns as power plays. But then again, if you went through the trouble and have a Carry Concealed license, you know it's against the law to use your gun to threaten anyone, so again, that doesn't apply to you.

Safe journeys.

I will be there with mine. But did you know---In the past another Republican Congressman, and now Presidential candidate, Ron Paul has accused the Bush administration of attempting to set in motion a militarized police state in America by enacting gun confiscation martial law provisions in the event of emergencies such as an avian flu pandemic or natural disasters.
Paul, a staunch gun-rights supporter, has previously blasted the administration's position on so-called "assault weapons" while claiming it is gun-rights oriented as hypocritical.
"Tortured interpretations of the Second Amendment cannot change the fact that both the letter of the amendment itself and the legislative history conclusively show that the Founders intended ordinary citizens to be armed," said Paul

NRA here. Me and all of the members of the motorcycle club I belong to got our permit in the State of Texas.. There are 28 of us with a permit to have a concealed weapon. Some pack a .9mm and others a .45. Most of the females do .9mm's and the guys pack .45's. We all go to the gun range once a month as a requirement by the club to be able to continue packing at club functions and events. We deal with some tough characters and if you pull it, you better use it, and hit the target and nothing else. Period.

I'm glad there are still states where you can do this.

Seems the anti-gunners haven't said much about the Federal law that passed 2 years ago about letting retired Police/Military/and other Law Enforcement carry a weapon if they qualify.

It's the only way I can carry a gun in Illinois. Now they will probably want to take that away also.

they don't seem to be and no-one is attempting to limit weapons, in basic terms upload somewhat sanity and regulation to gun possession. Iran hasn't dropped a nuke on each and every person yet the two, yet we don't go with them to have one and almost absolutely everyone else in the "loose international" is in contract. (and we are the only country in historic previous that has nuked somebody) EDIT "we go with Nukes + Firearms for self-protection applications" I thoroughly agree and thanks to this we've a protection rigidity. the traditional citizen does not go with a Nuclear Weapon or an attack Weapon with a 30 around clip for protecting their residing house from an interloper...in case you are able to no longer hit it in one or 2 photos, you do no longer go with greater rounds, you go with glasses...

Well why would anyone mind since no one will know? Unless your planning on brandishing it no one will even know its there. It seems to me that what you really want is for everyone to know its there. From your question it seems like your more interested in angering people or frightening them.

And as for the stupid tree hugger remarks I'm a tree hugger and I probably have more guns than most of you all. I would also rather kill one of you than harm a defenseless tree that actually serves a purpose other than consuming beef, drinking cheap schwill beer and polluting the air with exhaust from a yer pick-em-up truck.

Good for you, I have had mine about ten years now. That should be a concealed weapons permit, so concealed means just that, concealed.
